Wang Xizhi (about 32 1-379) was born in Linyi, Langshan, Eastern Jin Dynasty. His family was one of the few giants in the Jin Dynasty, and his grandfather was a businessman. His father, Wang Kuang, was the prefect of Huainan. He once advocated that Jinshi crossed the river and Jiangzuo established the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Wang Dao, Wang Xizhi's uncle, is world-famous and the prime minister of the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
And his other uncle, Wang Dun, was the military commander of the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Langya, the king of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, was in power for a period of time before he flourished. As soon as Wang Xizhi became an official, he became a doctor, then joined the army for Yu Liang, and later became a general of Ningyuan and a secretariat of Jiangzhou, and finally achieved a proper career. So people also call him Wang Youjun. Wang Xizhi is frank and informal, and has never worshipped Li Rong since he was a child. In Shi Shuo Xin Yu, there is a beautiful talk of Wang Zhi's "Talking on the Bed".
Another scholar-bureaucrat in the Jin Dynasty wanted to marry the Wangs, so he sent his protege to the Wangs to choose a husband. Wang Dao had his sons and nephews observed one by one under the east wing. When his protege went back, he reported to Du Jian that all Wang's teenagers were fine. I heard that the bearer was sent by the housekeeper to choose a son-in-law, and everyone looked reserved.
There was a man lying in bed eating naked, and it seemed that he didn't know about it in the backcountry. Everyone said, "This is the husband I am looking for. Later, I found out that Wang Yizhi was the one who ate on an empty stomach, so I married my daughter to him. Judging from this anecdote, Wang Yizhi was more open-minded from an early age and seldom cared about small things. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why his calligraphy is vigorous, free and easy and sober.
All right. Because of this allusion, people later put "the bed is flat?" Dong Chuang-a good name for son-in-law, or call someone else's son-in-law "detective"
