Numerology seems to be very superstitious. In fact, it depends on how people view the issue of "numerology". "Destiny" is destined in superstitious theory, while "reason" is a highly feasible principle. In ancient times, people used divination to predict the future. I don’t know what the earliest divination method was, but I generally know a few.
One type is tortoise divination, which involves burning the tortoise shell with fire, and then looking at the patterns produced to determine the future. One is to use yarrow for divination. The method is roughly the same as today's "budgeting". "Number" is used to form "skill", and "skill" is used to form "number". This is why people call it "magic", but I think so. The first number refers to numbers and mathematics (because Yarrow requires addition, subtraction or other mathematical concepts) and the second number refers to "a fixed number". There are many other divination techniques, but I don’t know about them because of my limited knowledge.
Let’s first discuss the concept of “fate”. First, does destiny have its “fixed number” in it? We know that when a person is born, he is born as an independent individual. The concept of an independent individual is that he can think and act completely independently. The independent individual is the opposite expression of "ongoing tense". What is "ongoing tense" is what is in action. To put it simply, it is randomness. Random things cannot have a "fixed number", that is to say, human life is ongoing, so theoretically, there is no "fixed number" for human life. On the other hand, what the ancients called "fate" was "arranged" by later generations, such as Confucius becoming a "sage", Lu Ban becoming the founder of craftsmen, or Guan Gong becoming a god (God of Wu Wealth). Of course, dead people are easy to arrange, but living people have mouths, faces, hands, and feet to defend and excuse themselves. For example, I mentioned this in an article last time! It is said that senior Ji Xianlin refused the title of "Master of Chinese Studies" during his lifetime, but after his death, people still called him "Master of Chinese Studies" in newspapers. I don’t care for the moment whether the senior is a master of Chinese studies. Facts have proved that "fate" only comes later, so anyone who "knows in advance" is a trick. In my opinion, those who know things beforehand only know how to predict. To put it simply, prediction is "guessing". "Measuring" is originally a vague word, so don't be preconceived and think that something "measured" must be accurate. Fate exists, but everyone's life is in their own hands or the world's, not in the hands of "fate".
Some things measured are accurate and some are inaccurate. This is not a real "superstition". But fortune-telling is different. What people call fortune-telling nowadays is probably "fate" paired with the five elements. The five elements are the zodiac signs in the birth horoscope. The birth horoscope is destined when you are born, so the calculated "fate" is of course also fixed. Fixed things are the opposite of the so-called "fate".
There can be randomness in the things measured, but there is no randomness in the things obtained by "fortune telling". This is what I think is the difference between superstition and non-superstition. Fixed things are "preconceived", which will make people discard other random things and flatter the "fixed" things from a sensory perspective. This creates a blind spot in people's minds, which is superstition. Superstitious people will say: "You are a good person if you worship Buddha." In fact, if you are a bad person, you will still be a bad person no matter how many tens of thousands of years you worship Buddha. Superstitious people will say: "It is a sin for you to slander the Buddha." In fact, if people who flatter the Buddha don't spread rumors and become "superstitious", how can I slander the Buddha? Good people are still good people when they worship Buddha, and bad people become good people when they worship Buddha without saying it. Therefore, worshiping Buddha is just about gaining people's flattery. Buddha is not still a human being, he is also arranged for him by later people. I think "Buddha" is just a person who practices ascetic practices and understands the truth. He is a human being, and I am also a human being, so why must I I went to flatter him. What's more, he is still a dead thing, and I am still a living thing.
Oh my life! I know what you are. Superstitious! I also know what you are. Damn it! Are you waving to people with unknown hope? I saw it, so it’s life! I know what you are. Superstitious! Are you waving to people under the guise of flattery and respect? I saw it, so I am superstitious! I know what you are.
After talking about destiny, let’s talk about “reason”. In destiny, principle is the rule. The rules of life are nothing more than birth, old age, illness, and death, and they are much more subdivided into birth, old age, illness, and death. However, no matter how many principles there are, it can be regarded as a rule. Life and death are the "principles" of fate. No matter how you change, you will still die. There are good and bad rules, big and small, right and wrong. In short, they are just principles.
There are a lot of "numerology" in the Book of Changes. For example, the ninth line of the Qian hexagram says "Don't use the hidden dragon." It can be regarded as a truth. Don't use the hidden dragon. It means "hide temporarily." Don't make a difference", these can be regarded as a rule. But the whole Qian Gua is destiny, which means that destiny is composed of many principles. From the perspective of Zhouyi, we should not believe in its destiny, but should learn its principles. Reasons can be used in real life, such as the simple Qianlong. If we encounter something unsatisfactory, we can use this to deal with things.
Another example is to "leap over the abyss" or "leap over the abyss" means to be ready to make a move. When we have doubts, we can also use this to explain the doubts in our hearts. We can "leap over the abyss" to verify the doubts. Another example is "Kang Long" and "You regret", which means "when certain things are done to the extreme, the opposite will happen." We can use this principle to deal with certain things, so that certain situations will not develop to the extreme. Go to the extreme opposite. My interpretation of the principles in "numerology" are "rules with strong feasibility in reality". Destiny's attachment to such "rules with strong feasibility in reality" will certainly cause many people to have the illusion that fate is actually Yes.
I don’t believe in “fate”, but I believe in “numerology”. I personally think that numerology is just a pure theory, not the "fate" that people think of. Therefore, "fate" is not desirable, but "reason" is desirable. I separate fate and reason to ask people not to be superstitious, but to learn reason.
The superstition of fate is that people have to flatter it, respect it, and believe in it, but this is not the case with reason. Reason can be regarded as a kind of life experience, a kind of wisdom in life, A kind of knowledge in life.
"The Theory of Fate"
Laughing at fate to drink wine,
unintentionally letting the years go by.
Don’t ask what happened in the past,
I will not know it in the future.
As long as it suits your day.
