In the evening of Kangxi 6 1 March 12 (Li Hong 1 1 year), the emperor went to the peony pavilion for wine tasting. Just seeing these two children, Emperor Kangxi unconsciously put down his glass. His younger brother Hongzhou didn't leave a deep impression on him, but his older brother Li Hong never forgets anything. At that time, Li Hong's slender figure, delicate face and calm brow made him look different, so the emperor paid special attention to him when he saluted. Li Hong's behavior is agile and decent, without the tension and restraint that children of this age often have, which is in sharp contrast with Hongzhou around him.
Rich experience in reading people tells Kangxi that this child will surely achieve something great. He stood Li Hong in front of him and began to ask about his homework. Li Hong generously recited several classics and explained the meaning of the article clearly, which made Kangxi even happier. This is the best grandson he has ever seen. But Kangxi, after all, was once a wise monarch and would not rely on feelings. Kangxi was convinced of his birthday. A few days later, he met Li Hong in the Peony Pavilion and ordered Prince Yong to dedicate eight Chinese characters to himself.
Kangxi ordered Roman, a blind man, to approve Li Hong's birthday. Sure enough, the child's horoscope is unique and expensive. In the cabinet archives published by the Palace Museum 1929, there is a birthday of Qianlong, and the comment on the birthday is Kangxi 6 1:
"Xin Mao (fifty years of Kangxi), Ding You (August), Geng Wu (13th) and Bing Zi (when I was a child) were born with wealth and nature, occupying a perverted temperament, smart and delicate, kind and filial, learning civil and military skills ... I can see that my wife and stars are the most intelligent and capable, and I also have many children's interests. Shou Yuan is tall and thick. The four of them are in the column. The men have a good life.
So a few days later, Kangxi went to Yuanmingyuan again. After dinner, he announced a decision that influenced history and brought Li Hong back to the palace to raise him. Before that, Kangxi had only seen this little grandson once, because Li Hong gave him the impression that he was different, calm, handsome and full of gas. Still an emperor's character, prompted him to finally make such a decision.
According to unofficial history's legend, Yongzheng was enthroned only when the son of the father was expensive.
