"Liu Hai" is also called "Liu Haier" and "Liu Hai Er Method". Legend has it that there was a prodigy named Liu Hai in the Tang Dynasty (see official records of Fengyang, Anhui). In folklore, Liu Hai's forehead is always covered with a neat row of short hair, which looks childish and lovely. To this end, the painter drew a portrait of a fairy boy, taking Liu Hai as an example, with short hair hanging over his forehead, riding on a toad and dancing with a bunch of money in his hand. Then, short hair left on a child's or a woman's forehead is called "bangs". Song Bin Suohua by Wang Tao in the Qing Dynasty: "The face is the same as the full moon, and the eyes are like stars. Only the hairpin flowers are like human bangs." The 19th time in Li Boyuan's History of Civilization in Qing Dynasty: "When everyone looks up, they are all big-footed shoes with bangs cut, and their legs are scattered below." Many people don't know the origin of "Liu Hai" without textual research, and often write it as "staying in the sea" or "Liu Hai". Is wrong. Besides, "bangs" are only reserved for children and women. Now some young men deliberately let a few locks of hair hang down on their foreheads in order to be cool. This can't be called "bangs". I can only say that my hair hangs on my forehead!
The second type:
People call women's or children's neat short hair "bangs", which hang on their foreheads. In ancient times, when a girl 15 years old, she would wear a hairpin in her hair to show her adulthood. Boys 15 years old have their hair in a bun, and wearing a crown at the age of 20 represents adulthood. Before adulthood, children's hair naturally hangs down, so people use "crying" and "crying years" to refer to children or childhood. But the hair left by boys and girls is different: boys leave fetal hair at the left and right corners of their foreheads, which is called "omen"; Girls leave fetal hair hanging in the middle of their foreheads, which is called "temminick". This kind of hair left in childhood is collectively called "leaving children's hair". When women stay in adulthood, they sometimes let their hair hang down naturally from the perspective of dressing up (hence the saying of "fashion"). In the Tang Dynasty, there was a legend of "Liu Hai playing the golden toad". Because the ancient sounds of "Liu Hai" and "Liu Hai" are exactly the same, and "Liu Hai" is a common name in spoken language, so the written language is written as "Liu Hai".
The third kind:
Legend has it that when Wu Zetian was in power, one day a group planning a palace coup was uncovered. The names of these murderers are actually Shangguan Waner. Wu Zetian was furious and immediately asked Shangguan Waner to hang (a punishment for tattooing marks or words on his face and drawing ink). Wu Zetian shouted angrily, "In the past, your grandfather (Shangguan Yi) conspired with others and was sent to prison. I think you are very talented and value you as a female official. Unexpectedly, you bite the hand that feeds you, and you want to murder me. I am so angry! " When Shangguan Waner heard this, she smiled indifferently: "Do you remember that the handmaiden didn't answer the phone for three times?" Wu Zetian thought carefully. There are several orders to hold a banquet in the imperial garden. When driving, I was turned back to the palace by Shangguan Waner and nodded slightly, acknowledging that it was true. Shangguan Waner said, "Does your majesty know that the imperial garden is in jeopardy? At that time, I participated in the rebellion just to secretly protect you! " In a word, Wu Zetian was speechless and deeply regretted that she had wronged Shangguan Waner. But the emperor has a golden mouth, and the execution will go on as usual, just stabbing a plum blossom on his forehead with cinnabar. Shangguan Waner is already quite attractive. There are just more than two small and exquisite red plum blossoms, just like two dragons playing with pearls, which are really beautiful. But after all, it is a shame ―― a sign of a criminal. The clever Shangguan Waner combed a strand of hair from her forehead, which just covered the cinnabar mark and called it "Liu Hai". When the concubines in the palace saw it, they thought it was much better than all the hair combed back and looked lovely. So they followed suit, until now.
