For example, "Qian Shan laughs at spring" ("laughter" is a derogatory term) and "happiness is enjoyed by everyone in the world" ("happiness" is a flat voice).

"Cause" is the upper part and "effect" is the lower part. For example, "urban and rural wealth is in the right direction, policy is wise, and food and clothing are plentiful", because only the "cause" of "urban and rural wealth" will have the "fruit" of "food and clothing".

That is, the first time is the upper part, and the last time is the lower part; Or do it first, and then do it second. For example, "the door welcomes the blessings of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and the door embraces the east, west, north and south"; "The small courtyard is planted with flowers all year round, and the gate is decorated with colorful music, which is suitable for the whole family."
4. According to the site scope.
In terms of time, space and specific things, it is generally from big to small, such as "every year is good, the moon is full"; "A city is full of flowers and rain, and the courtyard is full of spring breeze." In terms of time, "year" is longer than "month"; According to space theory, "city" is bigger than "courtyard".

For example, "Happiness is like flowing water in the East China Sea, and life is longer than Nanshan"; "The wind blows the willows and the rain embellishes the peaches." People often say "both longevity and happiness" and "help each other in the same boat", but there is no such thing as "both longevity and happiness" and "help each other in the same boat".

When pasting couplets, the upper couplet is pasted on the right, the lower couplet is pasted on the left, and the left and right are bounded by the gate or pilaster. The reason for posting this way is that the straight writing is from right to left, so reading couplets is also from right to left.
Horizontal criticism (or horizontal banners, rungs, banners, horizontal curtains, etc. ) is an important part of couplets. Horizontal comments, like the title of an article, can mark the theme of a couplet, which is the finishing touch and icing on the cake. Generally speaking, horizontal criticism plays a role in summarizing, revealing, supplementing and explaining couplets. From the scope of use, the most commonly used and original form of couplets is to stick them between couplets (so it is also commonly known as couplets). The upper and lower couplets, together with the horizontal comments on the lintel, are the "doors". Symmetry is the most obvious form of couplets, and the beauty of China's architecture lies in the traditional symmetrical form. Architecture and the structure of couplets set each other off, which is another reason why couplets are criticized. However, it does not mean that all couplets have horizontal comments. For example, some door plaques can be cross-commented, and cross-comments can be omitted for couplets and elegiac couplets (not suitable for hanging between couplets).
