It's only a year and a half since Yang Guifei died and was reburied. It's impossible for all the bodies to rot, even the bones are gone. Therefore, this record inevitably makes people wonder whether there is a body buried here. Bai Juyi's Song of Everlasting Sorrow also confirmed that memory and that depression. Where is her white face? In the soil in front of Mawei slope. It can be seen that it was generally believed that Yang Guifei did not bury Maweipo in the Tang Dynasty. So where is Yang Guifei buried?
I'm afraid it's not that easy to answer this question, because there are as many as four tombs of Yang Guifei. One is in the west of Mawei Town, Xingping County, Shaanxi Province today. There is also a rumor that Yang Guifei's tomb was buried. Although the time is not long, the grave soil is delicate and smooth, like powder to wipe the face, and it is very fragrant. As the saying goes, the smell of earth worries the nose. Moreover, women can wipe their faces with the soil from Yang Guifei's tomb, which can remove the dark spots on their faces and make their facial muscles delicate. So the soil in her tomb is also called imperial concubine powder. Women from far and near rushed to wipe their faces with soil, and even tourists from other places came here to bring back the tomb soil, so the tomb pile became smaller and smaller, and the grave keeper kept adding soil to the tomb pile, but it was soon dug up. In order to protect the grave, we must wrap it in blue bricks. Of course, this is just a legend.
In addition, there is a five-wheeled pagoda handed down from generation to generation as the tomb of Yang Guifei in Jin Jiu Fishing Village, Otsu County, Yamaguchi Prefecture. There are also two statues of Sakyamuni and Amitabha in the second courtyard of Jin Jiu. It is said that Tang Xuanzong specially sent it to Japan to comfort Yang Guifei, and now it has been listed as a key protected cultural relic in Japan.
In September 2005, scholars such as Cai Zhengbang of Sichuan University put forward a brand-new view on Yang Guifei's burial place. They demonstrated in many ways that Yang Guifei was buried in Saburo Town, chongzhou city, Sichuan, instead of Maweipo. According to historical records, Zi Jian records that in the 23rd year of Tang Kaiyuan, Yang Xuanyan, a friend of the family, made Princess Shou, while Yang Zhao and Yang Guifei's grandfather joined the army in Shu and got a new captain. Yang Xuanyan died in Shu and traveled to his home. They think this record shows that Yang Guifei's father was an official in Shu, and his family stayed in Shu after his death, so Yang Guozhong came and went to his house, so Yang Guifei was born in Zhou Shu, and today's Zhou Shu is the ancient name of chongzhou city.
In addition, the Book of the Tang Dynasty records that the imperial concubine was buried in His Royal Highness Lu, wearing a purple curtain. The emperor sent envoys to Shu to be buried in coffins. However, according to the Biography of Yang Guifei written by Japan, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty sent envoys to sacrifice Yang Guifei and ordered eunuchs to move her body to other places. It can be seen that although Yang Guifei died in Maweipo, her body was moved and buried. In addition, according to the data, Yang Guifei likes juicy fruit and spicy taste, which is similar to that of people in Shu. It is recorded in Mawei Pozhi that Yang Guifei often misses the beautiful mountains and rivers in her hometown of Zhou Shu after entering the palace, and asks to be buried in Cuiwei Mountain after her death. According to these records, after Yang Guifei's death, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty obeyed her wishes and was probably buried in Shu, and the best place in Shu was Cuiwei Mountain.
When Cai Zhengbang conducted a field survey in Saburo Town, chongzhou city, he also found that there is still a stone tablet with the words "Tang Tianbao" in Cuiwei Mountain. According to legend, many years ago, chongzhou city collector Zhong Ren Chen met two grave robbers near Cuiwei Mountain and sold him a golden dragon with five claws and a Cai Feng skirt. Silk is well preserved and has been enduring for thousands of years. It is entirely possible to preserve the silk in the Tang Dynasty until now, but the yellow robe and phoenix skirt can't be owned by the emperor, and Yang Guifei is the only person in the Tang Dynasty who has something to do with Cuiwei Mountain. They also heard the story handed down from generation to generation by Ma Shaojun, a veterinarian in Cuiwei Mountain. Yang Guifei's tomb is in Cuiwei Mountain.
Cai Zhengbang further demonstrated from the perspective of human geography that Yang Guifei's tomb should be in the south of Saburo Town, and the north of the tomb is facing Chang 'an, which just confirms the significance of ancient soul-melting to Saburo Taihe Palace. He even thinks that the name of Saburo Town is also related to Yang Guifei. Because Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty ranked third, Saburo was Yang Guifei's nickname for him before his death. After Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty killed Yang Guifei, he felt guilty. For the sake of psychological balance, he changed Saburo Town to be the tomb of the princess buried with him. In addition, there is a Jiulonggou in Saburo Town. The dragon is called the son of heaven, that is, the emperor, which also happens to correspond to Fengqi Mountain. However, although this statement is fully demonstrated and reasonable, it is only one-sided and has many far-fetched points. What is the fact needs further excavation and demonstration.
Wei Juxian, a scholar in Taiwan Province Province, even claimed in the book China Discovered America that he had verified that Yang Guifei did not die in Maweipo, but was taken to the distant United States, so Yang Guifei was naturally buried in the United States after her death, but this statement is too slim to refute.
