4. Fifth term: Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor (20 17-2022)

He used to be the Deputy Director (Management) of the Hong Kong Police Force, the Director of the Security Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region and the Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
Member of the National Security Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Chairman of the Candidate Qualification Committee of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Honorary President of the Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.
Election qualification:
Article 44 of the Basic Law of the People's Republic of China (PRC) Special Administrative Region stipulates that the Chief Executive of the Region shall be a China citizen who has reached the age of 40, has ordinarily resided in Hong Kong for 20 consecutive years and has no right of abode in a foreign country.
Article 6 of the Law of People's Republic of China (PRC), China and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region on Safeguarding National Security stipulates that when taking part in elections or taking office, residents of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region shall sign documents in accordance with the law to confirm or swear to support the basic laws of the People's Republic of China (PRC) and China Hong Kong Special Administrative Regions and be loyal to the People's Republic of China (PRC) and China Hong Kong Special Administrative Regions.
