Being respectful to Buddha and Bodhisattvas is required. It has nothing to do with life.
In the eyes of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, all sentient beings are just like the flesh and blood of parents. It is too late to love and show mercy, so how can they dislike you? !
Before entering the Buddhist temple to offer incense, it is best to fast, bathe and not have sex (1-7 days, 7 days is the best)!
[Zhai! Minimum requirements: Be vegetarian, that is, do not eat meat or fish, including all foods and drinks containing animal ingredients, eggs, onions, garlic, onions, leeks, and wine. High requirements: no food after noon and only drinking water in the afternoon. Choose according to your ability. The purpose of fasting is to purify the body and mind. Based on this principle, respect is the top priority]
Dress cleanly and neatly early in the morning or at a convenient time! Plain long-sleeved collared shirt and long pants. No heelless sandals! Wear socks first! No revealing attire!
Enter the temple hall, pay respect to the Buddha slowly and solemnly! When others are worshiping Buddha, do not pass in front of them! It is forbidden to smoke in the temple, do not use mobile phones in the hall, and do not take pictures. Keep your phone on silent!
When you see a monk in a temple, you can put your palms together and say hello!
When adding incense, please use good incense (try your best, such as agarwood, sandalwood, etc.), usually three or one stick, not a large bundle, and do not use thick and long inferior incense. , if it is already in the stove, you can put it aside! How to make incense, take refuge in the Buddha with one stick in the middle, take refuge with the Dharma on the right side 1 inch away, and take refuge with the Sangha on the left side! May the Three Treasures live forever! Bless disciple xx (your Dharma name or common name) for doing xx!
If a stick is inserted into the middle of the furnace, you can recite it in your heart, and wholeheartedly take refuge in all the Three Jewels in the ten directions. Disciple xx, I want to ask for something (you will return your vows when you are done).
If you have an offering, you can give it to the master or layman in charge of the incense lamp in the hall. If there is no one, place it on the offering table between the incense burner and the Buddha statue. Do not place it behind the incense burner. The other burner will not be offered! The offerings can be flowers, fruits, rice, noodles, lamps, candles, oil, clean water, banners, flags, precious canopies, fine cloths, and monk robes. The food must be vegetarian and must not contain alcohol, animal ingredients, eggs, onions, garlic, leeks, and milk. If it is packaged and ready to be eaten, it must be unpacked and put into clean containers for serving.
[Note! It is better not to provide money but in kind, which is more like the law]
If a temple is being built, a single person with little effort can still provide money.
Exit after the prayer. Please do not make loud noises in the Buddhist hall. If you have anything to do, please inform in a low voice and say respectfully when you leave the hall!
When entering and exiting the Buddhist hall, please take the side door of the main door. Enter from the right, step with your right foot first, and enter from the left with your left foot first. Be careful not to step on the threshold, let alone stand on the threshold, regardless of whether you are male or female. Female right!
Do not take away any grass or stone in the temple. Otherwise, you will steal the permanent residence of the ten directions, destroy your wealth during life, return the wealth before the permanent residence of the ten directions after death, and then fall into the endless hell and suffer for a long time.
If you have any requests for Buddhist services (dispelling disasters and extending life, saving salvation, erecting tablets, etc.), you can contact us at the living room.
I wish you good luck and complete happiness and wisdom.
