Introduction to Diversity of Forest Songs

Thousands of trees support the sky episode I

The forest is a magical and wonderful life world. They receive rain and sunshine from heaven every day and suck the milk of the earth, which is free and mysterious. Nature's kindness and care for human beings are always transmitted through forests. The desire of human beings to improve the environment is often realized through the power of forests. The green forest has supported mankind's yesterday and today, and will certainly support a green world for mankind's tomorrow. Because, if human beings want to survive and multiply, they can never leave the care of the forest.

Episode 2 Global Green

This is a story of spring. On March 2nd, 1982 was the first Arbor Day in China. On this day, 77-year-old Comrade Deng Xiaoping came to Yuquan Mountain with his family and planted the first tree of the national voluntary tree planting campaign with great interest.

One spring followed another, and 26 springs passed in a blink of an eye. The old man who planted trees has quietly left us, but this pine tree on Yuquan Mountain has grown into a slim tree. It seems to understand the old man's mind and begin to take on the sacred responsibility of carefully protecting the earth. Looking from a distance, we found that small trees all over the mountains are thriving on the vast land of the motherland. Episode 3 Changing Face-Green Edition

This is a wonderful journey of discovery. The film crew of "Song of the Forest" spent three years visiting the last virgin forest in China in the alternation of morning and dusk and cold and summer.

Outside the familiar human society, in the gradually forgotten nature, life is singing. We walked into the lonely forest, felt the harshness and gift of nature, and listened to the most primitive songs. We record loneliness and glory, the glory and hardship of life, its first and last figures, and the forest map of a country.

From the ice sheet to the desert, from the ocean to the mountains, in some extreme environments, we can see the tenacious vitality and wonderful adaptability of forest residents in the long evolution process, which makes them still full of vitality after much longer than human history.

The fourth episode Go home-Yunheng Qinling

This episode is a story about "homeland". The main line will take the life course of the golden monkey in Qinling as the breakthrough point, take the red birch forest on which the golden monkey lives as the narrative subject, show its living environment and the ecological chain of animals and plants around the narrative axis, and build a magical "home" for the peaceful coexistence of animals and plants.

Deck is a twelve-year-old adult golden monkey. Its monkeys live in a valley 2000 meters above sea level on the northern slope of the Qinling Mountains. "Deck" has eight wives, and his favorite is Yuan Yuan, the youngest female monkey. Not far away, the wandering male monkeys who were swept out of the house formed a tribe, of which "Eight Heads" was the strongest. He prepares every day and will become a challenger to other chiefs.

A war for the throne is imminent.

Episode 5 Snow Country-Pine Trees in the Northland

Changbai Mountain is a natural complex with the richest biological resources in the same latitude of the earth. It not only has magnificent geological landforms and peculiar natural landscapes, but also is a three-dimensional treasure house rich in natural resources in the world. The main story of this episode will revolve around Korean pine.

On the northern slope of Changbai Mountain, just-matured Korean pine seeds have left the cradle of big trees under the impetus of the wind. Compared with other tree species that spread seeds by wind alone, clever Korean pine makes seeds bigger and more nutritious, attracting many diners and spreading seeds through animals. Pine nuts are an important first link in the whole food chain.

As more and more pine nuts are picked manually, on the one hand, it brings difficulties to the normal reproduction of Korean pine, on the other hand, it also threatens the survival of animals that eat pine nuts. In winter, it snows heavily, but another friend of Korean pine, the black bear, desperately looks for any food that can be found in the forest. Black bears in the forest don't hibernate. Can it survive this long winter?

Episode 6 Long song-Populus euphratica in the desert

The Taklimakan Desert covers 60% of the Tarim Basin, but the water melted by the alpine snow and ice flows into the Tarim River in the north of the basin, which is the source of all life here. As the only towering tree in the desert, Populus euphratica forms a green barrier with other desert plants, which blocks the expansion of the desert, thus ensuring the endless civilization of the western regions in the long history of thousands of years.

Populus euphratica has lived in the desert for millions of years, and its law is to survive and reproduce with the least consumption. This film will show the miracle of life in the desert and tell stories of tenacious life, hoping to take care of the living conditions of human beings and leave room for thinking.

Episode 7 Lingyun-Snow Shenmu

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Hengduan Mountains, which straddle Yunnan, Sichuan and Tibet, have the highest virgin forest in China and even the world, and the forest here is well-deserved to be called "the commanding heights of forests". The Nanga Bawa area of the Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon has the most complete vertical distribution zone of plants in the world, including plant types from Hainan Island to the poles. It is one of the 25 biodiversity hotspots in the world, and this episode is launched under such a background.

The big spruce tree with a height of 60 ~ 70 meters and a diameter of 1.5 ~ 2 meters is the main tree species in this forest. It is distributed on the upper line of the forest. Plants, animals and humans living in the forest depend on each other and build a harmonious world. However, the harsh living conditions in the plateau make them face challenges all the time, and one survival crisis after another follows. How do the big spruce tree and its neighbors face the challenge?

Episode 8 Competition-Echo of Rainforest

Tropical rainforests are lush all year round and are known as the "lungs" of the earth. Biodiversity is the most important feature of tropical rain forest. Although the tropical rain forest only accounts for 7% of the world's land area, it contains half of the world's total plants.

Hainan Island has been covered by dense tropical forests since ancient times. About 700 thousand years ago, tropical plants spread all over the island, with many kinds and large areas, showing a rainforest landscape. In the highly competitive tropical rain forest, 65,438+050,000 seedlings take root and sprout every hectare of land every year, of which less than 65,438+0% seedlings grow into trees. They must finally germinate, blossom and bear fruit through hard competition. At the same time, the plants in the forest compete with each other and depend on each other, which finally creates the richness and diversity of the tropical rain forest.

Episode 9 Heritage-Forest Hermit

Cryptomeria fortunei is an ancient relict plant because only China still exists in the world. Scientists use argyrophylla (silver leaf) as the name of Cryptomeria fortunei and Cathaysia (Huaxia) as the Latin scientific name of Cryptomeria fortunei. Our story will begin with the symbiotic relationship between silver fir and other species.

As early as the Cenozoic Tertiary geological period, Cathaya argyrophylla was widely distributed in Eurasia in the northern hemisphere, and its fossils were found in Germany, Poland, France and the former Soviet Union. However, 2 million to 3 million years ago, a large number of glaciers occurred on the earth, which almost swept the whole of Europe and North America. However, the continental glaciers in Eurasia are not strong, and some areas with unique geographical environment have not been attacked by glaciers and become safe havens for some creatures. Rare plants such as Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Metasequoia glyptostroboides and Ginkgo biloba have thus been preserved and become the witness of history. Throughout the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, there are ancient tree species, such as Castanopsis fargesii, Lagerstroemia indica and Hemlock.

Episode 10 Clear Shadow-Bamboo Language in the Wind

Bamboo is a special member of China forest family. The existence of bamboo makes the forest in China closer to human beings, with more affinity and home feeling.

China is the hometown of bamboo. Among the 1500 species of bamboo in the world, there are more than 500 species in China. There are 7.2 million hectares of bamboo forests in China, including 4.2 million hectares of pure bamboo forests and 3 million hectares of the most important bamboo species Phyllostachys pubescens, which are planted in all provinces except Heilongjiang, Jilin, Inner Mongolia and Xinjiang.

The fastest growing plants in the world began to sprint into the sky. In the valley of Wuyi Mountain, bamboo shoots can grow to more than 20 meters high in 40 days under the blowing of Pacific monsoon and the urging of spring sunshine. When it grows fastest, it can grow one meter high all day long. This is a race about speed. Whoever can grow to the highest level in the shortest time has the right to enjoy enough sunshine. ...

Episode 11 Tingtao-Bihai Mangrove Forest

Mangroves grow in the intertidal zone of subtropical and tropical coasts, which is a special ecosystem and has the function of maintaining marine ecological balance. Mangroves, coral reef ecosystems and island ecosystems are also called the three major offshore ecosystems.

Mangrove is an amphibious forest form. At high tide, most mangroves will be submerged in the sea, and at low tide, mangroves will grow on the beach. Mangroves can grow into dense forests under such high salinity conditions, which is the result of millions of years of long-term evolution.

Starting with the vividness of mangroves, this episode connects the two most important shooting sites in Guangxi and Hainan through the process of seedlings drifting in the sea-looking for land-rooting and sprouting, showing the current situation of mangroves in China and the magic and beauty of mangrove ecosystem as the most important and representative ecosystem in the offshore area.
