What's the difference between Yongkang and Yiwu?

Yongkang and Yiwu are both prefecture-level cities under the jurisdiction of Zhejiang Province in China, and there are some differences between them.

First of all, geographically, Yongkang is located in the southeast of Zhejiang Province, close to Wenzhou City, while Yiwu is located in the middle of Zhejiang Province.

Secondly, in terms of economic development, Yiwu, as a well-known international trade city in China, is one of the largest small commodity wholesale markets in China, with small commodity trade as its main industry. In Yiwu International Trade City, you can find all kinds of products, including jewelry, stationery, clothing, household items and so on. Yongkang, on the other hand, takes manufacturing as its main pillar industry, especially automobile manufacturing and furniture manufacturing. Yongkang is one of the largest automobile parts manufacturing bases in China and one of the major furniture production and export bases in the world.

In addition, in terms of tourism resources, Yiwu is relatively lacking, mainly in commerce and trade. Yongkang has many beautiful natural attractions, such as Xi South Park, Bazi Bridge and Xianlin Park, as well as some cultural sites and historical buildings, such as Chiang Kai-shek's ancestral home and Lu Shibo Memorial Hall.

Generally speaking, Yongkang and Yiwu are different in geographical location, economic characteristics and tourism resources. These differences also make the economic structure and development path of the two cities different.
