Painting is one of the four major types of decoration work, and it is also a face-saving project in home decoration. The quality of the construction can be seen at a glance, so the painting process must be careful and the face-saving work must be done well. Below, the editor will bring you the painter's decoration process, let's learn about it together.
What processes do decoration painters do?
1. Base treatment. Before paint construction, the flatness of the base surface must be ensured, that is, the uneven spots on the top surface of the construction wall must be smoothed with gypsum. Protruding areas need to be smoothed with fine sandpaper to ensure smooth progress in later construction.
2. Apply putty. After the base layer is processed, the puttying process needs to be carried out, which usually requires two to three times. When applying putty, it is best to apply it from top to bottom and from left to right, and do not apply it repeatedly. In addition, due to the poor polishability of gypsum, putty mainly plays the role of primer, which makes the surface of the base layer look smoother.
3. Paint construction. After the putty is scraped off, you need to apply primer first to protect the base layer from alkali resistance and corrosion. Then the latex paint is applied twice, mostly by spraying, so that the paint film is relatively uniform. However, after spraying, the surface of the base layer should be allowed to dry completely before sanding can be performed.
4. Post-production work. After the latex paint is applied and polished with fine sandpaper, it needs to be left for a period of time. Because it usually takes a while for latex paint to dry completely, owners should open windows for ventilation to speed up the drying of the paint surface. In addition, after the paint is applied, acceptance work needs to be carried out, that is, to see whether the top surface of the wall is smooth, whether there are uneven particles on the surface, and whether there is dust to the touch.
What are the acceptance criteria for paint?
1. Appearance acceptance of wall paint
The appearance of paint directly affects the overall appearance of the home, so be careful when accepting it. Be careful and make sure there is nothing wrong with its appearance. The appearance acceptance of wall paint mainly involves whether the color is uniform and without color difference, and whether the wall is cracked, powdery, see-through, or missed.
Acceptance criteria: No obvious color difference, efflorescence, discoloration, or brush marks; no powder loss, ripples, brush leakage, etc.; no obvious blisters, dripping, pimples, or splashing; doors, windows, and Lamps, furniture, etc. are clean and have no traces of paint;
Acceptance method: After the wall paint is dry, use visual inspection and hand feeling under natural light; stand 1.5m away from the wall to observe and inspect Check for blisters, color bite, bleeding, chromatic aberration, see-through, etc.; connect a light bulb with a wire, 10 centimeters away from the light bulb and the wall, and check along the wall.
2. Acceptance of flatness of wall paint
It is also very important to check whether the wall paint is flat. The flatness acceptance mainly checks the wall angle deviation and the vertical flatness of the wall. Through the inspection of these two items, it is ensured that the accepted wall is flat.
Wall corner deviation inspection: Use the multi-functional internal and external right angle detection ruler to detect the deviation of the internal and external (yin and yang) right angles of the wall. When in use, push down to open the angle pointer box. When the pointer is at the zero position, the right angle is 90 degrees, and the deviation value is read directly, with each division being 1mm. Generally, the wall deviation value for ordinary wall paint is 4mm.
