In 755 AD, An Lushan rose in the name of Jun Qing and entered Chang 'an. In the second year, I took Yang Guifei and Yang to Shu and began to flee. When passing through Mayi, Chen, a protected imperial sergeant, and other officers and men kept demanding the execution of Yang and Yang Guifei, and killing Yang.
Tell Chen that Yang is in trouble, but Yang Guifei is not at fault and wants to pardon Yang Guifei. But the imperial sergeant and officers and men all think that Yang Guifei is a femme fatale. An Lushan rebelled because of Yang Guifei. If he didn't kill Yang Guifei, he couldn't continue to surround Tang Xuanzong.
In desperation, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty took the advice of eunuch Gao Lishi, gave Yang a white silk and ordered Yang to commit suicide under the plum tree in the Buddhist temple. Yang Guifei committed suicide under a pear tree to protect the emperor at the age of 38.
Extended information Yang Yuhuan was born in an official family in early June of the seventh year of Kaiyuan (7 19). His great grandfather, Wang Yang, was a minister of the Sui Dynasty and was killed by Li Shimin in the early Tang Dynasty. Father Yang Xuanyan was a manager in Zhou Shu; Uncle Yun, originally from Cao, Henan, spent his childhood. In the seventeenth year of Kaiyuan, Yang Yuhuan, who was about 10 years old, was fostered in his uncle Hsuan Yang's home.
Yang Yuhuan's natural beauty and superior educational environment make her have a certain cultural accomplishment, graceful personality, proficient in temperament, good at singing and dancing, and good at playing the pipa. In Bai Juyi's Song of Eternal Sorrow, there is such a description: God-given grace, undisguised, was finally elected to the royal family one day.
In July of the 22nd year of Kaiyuan, Princess Xianyi, the daughter of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, held a wedding in Luoyang, and Yang Yuhuan was also invited to attend. Li Mao, the younger brother of Princess Xianyi, fell in love with Yang Yuhuan at first sight. At the request of Wu Huifei, Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty wrote a letter asking her to be the shroud princess of that year. After the marriage, the two were very loving.
Wu Huifei died in the 25th year of Kaiyuan (737). Li Mao's mother, Wu Huifei, was the favorite concubine of Emperor Xuanzong of the Tang Dynasty, and she was treated as a queen in the palace. Xuanzong was unhappy for this. At that time, the harem Qian Qian was absolutely meaningless. Some people suggested that "the courtyards should be full of manners", and Xuanzong called Yang into the harem.
In the 28th year of Kaiyuan (740), in the name of Dou Taihou, the mother of Xuanzong, she wrote a letter to Yang, asking her to become a female Taoist, and signed it "too true".

In the 15th year of Tianbao (756), An Lushan rebelled, followed Li Longji out of Yanmenguan Chang 'an and went into exile in Shu, passing through Maweigang, where Yang Yuhuan died on June 14th (Gregorian calendar 15).
