Named "Hope"
I had this intuitive feeling when I first saw this painting. The expressions of the two children and the puppy seemed to be looking forward to something. The girl looking up seems to be looking forward to the fruits of the autumn harvest or the fallen fruits.
The title "Pan" gives the audience unlimited space for imagination. What are they looking forward to? Let the audience make their own associations.
It would be better to name it "Gu Pan" in a more elegant way.
It is surrounded by the words "object" and both are verbs. Removing the side also alludes to the autumnal equinox. Very poetic.
