At the end of the 19th century, Germany established a colony in Shandong, China. As Shandong became Germany's sphere of influence, the German Shepherds at that time were brought to China. The German Shepherd, the Great Dane and the Northern Chinese Dog were inadvertently crossed to produce the Black Wolf Dog, which was then widely distributed in North my country and used as a guard dog. The population of black wolf dogs has declined rapidly in modern times. The number of excellent black wolf dogs that have been passed down to this day is very small. Moreover, black wolf dogs have begun to hybridize with other dog breeds, and their genes have begun to degrade. The number of outstanding breeding sources is very small and is on the verge of extinction.
In 2008, Mr. Zhao Yijun, the founder of Mojie Dog Breeding, accidentally got a black wolf dog named Julie. In the process of living with her, he discovered that this kind of dog is incomparable. Many miracles - obedient, sensible, smart, very understanding of human nature, friendly with acquaintances, naturally protective of the Lord, rarely barks, never runs around, beautiful, powerful, and easy to take care of. Mr. Zhao Yijun searched the information and visited various places, but could not find accurate information about this kind of dog. He decided to systematically breed this kind of dog, purify, establish a record, and develop this Chinese dog breed. After consultation and communication with multiple national agencies, it was decided to officially name the descendants of black wolf dogs purified by systematic breeding as Mojie dogs.
On July 25, 2011, experts from the China Working Dog Association demonstrated the Mojie dog’s obedience, desire to pick up, etc., affirmed this dog breed, and agreed and supported the dog. The breeder of the breed, Mr. Zhao Yijun, has expanded the breed and authorized Mr. Zhao Yijun to register and implant the working dog of his breed with a chip. The Mojie dog has officially become a Chinese dog breed.
In 2013, Mojie Dog was tested in multiple police dog bases and was recognized by the national police dog base.
