Source: Volume 5 of Sun Guangxian's "Bei Meng Suo Yan" of the Song Dynasty: "Gaoche of the Tang Dynasty, a native of Pengzhou. He was smart and knowledgeable, and he was versatile. As for astronomy and calendars, chess, calligraphy and painting, flute and harp, he led Zhu Yizhi of the Liang Dynasty Stream."
