The just actions of bombarding British ships and protecting Zhu De, Chen Yi, and Ho Chi Minh were also followed by the evil deeds of colluding with Wu Peifu to sabotage the revolution, creating the "Pingjiang Massacre" and actively following Chiang Kai-shek to fight the civil war.
Among the *** warlords, Yang Sen is famous for his numerous wives and concubines and his numerous children. He has 12 public wives and concubines and 43 children. This is ridiculous. Abnormal marriages are particularly eye-catching and have cast an eternal mystery in the world.
In 1949, Yang Sen left Sichuan for Taiwan from Chengdu. He later died of illness in Taipei. He was the last general among the Sichuan warlords to die during the Republic of China.
Sen was born in Longtai Temple, Guang'an on January 24, 1884.
His family background was average when he was young, and his father was born in Yiwuxiang. Affected by this, he was deeply interested in practicing martial arts and joining the army since he was a child.
In 1904, Yang Sen graduated from middle school, joined the Sichuan Army Corps in 1906, and entered the Sichuan Army Crash Course in 1908, where he was classmates with Liu Xiang, Tang Shizun, Pan Wenhua and others. These people later formed Liu Xiang and Yang Sen. He is the core figure of the "Instant System" Sichuan Warlord Group.
After graduation, he was assigned to the platoon leader of the 17th Town of the New Army. Because Yang Sen was serious about training soldiers, his platoon won many championships in drills, assessments and competitions. In 1910, he was promoted to the 1st Battalion of the 33rd Mixed Association. An officer in the right brigade, he joined the Tongmenghui in the same year.
In 1912, he served as the battalion commander of the Wang Lingji troops of the 1st Division of the Sichuan Army.
In 1913, he joined the 5th Division of the Sichuan Army under Xiong Kewu and participated in the "Second Revolution". He was captured after the failure.
When Huang Yucheng, the general of the Yunnan Army, was captured in the ***, all the prisoners were very frightened. Only Yang Sen appeared to be fearless, courageous and knowledgeable. Huang Yucheng saw that Yang Sen was very courageous and tall. He became fond of him and kept him as an adjutant in the headquarters.
In January 1915, he was appointed captain of the Yunnan Lecture Hall. In December, he was appointed lieutenant colonel and staff officer of the second echelon of the First Army to Protect the Country, and participated in the War to Protect the Country.
In 1917, he served as chief of staff of the 2nd Army of the Yunnan Army and head of the independent regiment.
In April 1920, he left the Yunnan Army and served as the commander of the 9th Mixed Brigade of the Sichuan Army, the garrison envoy of Luyong Town, and the commander of the 9th Division.
