How to name plants?

The naming of plants adopts the binomial method created by the Swedish scholar Linnaeus, and it is stipulated that the binomial method should be written in Latin.

The scientific name of plants consists of the genus name and specific epithet, with the genus name in the first place being a noun, and its first letter should be capitalized.

specific epithet is followed, often adj. Indicated in italics. The complete scientific name, with the surname or abbreviation of the surname added after specific epithet.

For example, Raphanus staivus L. (L. All the front parts are italicized), Raphanus Radish, Staivus specific epithet, L. Linnai.
