Many daughters in Xinjiang are called "Guli", which means "flower", and are mostly used for girls' names. In Uygur names, unmarried women usually add guli after their names.
Awar, also known as Anal, means pomegranate. Avaguli was translated into pomegranate flower and the name of a beautiful woman.
Names of ethnic minorities in Xinjiang:
Different from the Han nationality, Uighurs, Kazakhs, Kirgiz, Uzbeks, Tatars and Tajiks living in Xinjiang use the reverse father-son naming system, with the real name in front and the father's name behind, and no fixed surname. First names and surnames are distinguished by dots. Some also add honorifics to express their social status, occupation and prestige, or suffixes to express their physiological characteristics and personality evaluation.
For example, a person named Alyar kurban Khari shows that Alyar is the son of kurban, and Khari is the identity of this person. He graduated from a Bible school and is proficient in the Koran.
