1． A place name composed of a proper name and a general name, and the proper name and the general name are written separately.
2． The first letter of the Chinese pinyin of the place name is capitalized, and the first letter of each paragraph is capitalized.
3. Chinese place names are spelled according to Mandarin phonetics, and polyphonic characters and dialect words are spelled according to the pronunciation approved by the Mandarin Phonetic Review Committee. Example:

6. For place names that contain ethnic titles, the ethnic title and its preceding and following parts should be written separately. If there are multiple ethnic titles, each ethnic title should be written separately. If the ethnic title is abbreviated, the full name must be used. If the name of an ethnic group contains the word "zu", the word "zu" should be spelled with "zu" and connected with the name of the ethnic group. Example:
