The moon, Guanghan Palace, is a mythical landscape, a palace built for Chang 'e by the gods in the sky on the moon. Because this palace was transformed from a toad with universal spirituality, it is also called the moon.
In ancient China, the written language called the moon referred to the moon. Moon Temple also refers to the fragrance of the moon and osmanthus. It is said that there are osmanthus trees on the moon, and the shadow of osmanthus trees can be seen at the full moon.
Huainanzi explains:
Yuchan is the legendary moon god. So toad became the name of this month.
From Huai Nan Zi, it says, "You invite the elixir of life to the Queen Mother of the West, and then go back to your wife Heng E, secretly answer the moon, and entrust yourself to the moon for the sake of toad and the essence of the moon."
Hou Yi got the elixir from the Queen Mother of the West, but his wife Chang 'e secretly ate the elixir, ran to the moon and lived here, becoming a toad, the legendary moon god.
