When Eiichiro Oda was in the first grade of junior high school, he drew a cartoon of pirates for the first time, but Oda's imagination of children's adventure was too rich to finish with a notebook. He realized that it was impossible to draw one piece comics in the form of "the first issue is over", so he decided to serialize one piece comics in "Youth Leap".
Oda wanted to read pirates' cartoons since she was a child. At that time, he told himself that if he wanted to paint them himself, he would definitely paint the story of pirates. Whether the work can be sold or not, he made such a choice because he was psychologically prepared, just because he wanted to see it himself.
