There are currently 17 major domestic airlines in China, including 12 Chinese-owned and state-owned enterprises, 3 private companies, and 2 Sino-foreign joint ventures, excluding subsidiaries or branches derived from each airline.
1. Air China
Air China Co., Ltd., referred to as "Air China", its English name is "Air China Limited", referred to as "Air China", Air China is China's only Airlines flying the national flag. It not only provides international and domestic passenger and cargo transportation services, but also undertakes the mission of special flights for national leaders. Air China currently operates 114 routes, including 43 international routes, 71 domestic routes, and more than 1,000 scheduled flights every week. 3. China Eastern Airlines
China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. is a state-controlled airline headquartered in Shanghai, China. Based on the original China Eastern Airlines Group Company, it merged with China Northwest Airlines , reorganized into China Yunnan Airlines. The first Chinese civil aviation airline to be listed in Hong Kong, New York and Shanghai. On February 4, 5 and November 5, 1997, China Eastern Airlines Co., Ltd. was listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange respectively. The company was successfully listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange. It is one of the three major state-owned backbone aviation companies in China (the others are Air China Co., Ltd. and China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd.).
4. Hainan Airlines

5. Shandong Airlines
Shandong Airlines Co., Ltd. was established on December 13, 1999. Its predecessor was Shandong Airlines Co., Ltd. established in 1994. Shandong Airlines Co., Ltd. was reorganized by Shandong Airlines Group Co., Ltd., Inspur Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Hualu Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Fisheries Enterprise Group Corporation and Luyin Investment Group Co., Ltd. 6. Xiamen Airlines
Xiamen Airlines Co., Ltd. (referred to as Xiamen Airlines) was established on July 25, 1984. Xiamen Airlines was jointly established by the Civil Aviation Administration of China and Fujian Province. The first airline to operate under a modern enterprise system, its current shareholders are China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd. (51), Xiamen C&D Group Co., Ltd. (34) and Jizhong Energy Co., Ltd. (15). Xiamen Airlines' carrier code is "MF" and its corporate logo is "Blue Sky Egret". Xiamen Airlines is the only Chinese airline that uses all Boeing series aircraft. 7. Shanghai Airlines
Shanghai Airlines Co., Ltd., formerly Shanghai Airlines, was founded in 1985. It is China’s first commercial limited liability airline with diversified investments. As of May 5, 2008, the company has more than 97 domestic, international and regional routes, reaching more than 60 domestic and foreign (regional) cities. A number of international and regional routes have been opened from Shanghai to Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau and other places. Shanghai International Cargo Airlines, invested and established by Shanghai Airlines, was put into operation on July 1, 2006. 8. Happy Airlines
Happy Airlines is an airline that operates domestically produced aircraft and a regional network. 9. Spring Airlines
Spring Airlines Co., Ltd. is the first low-cost airline company wholly owned by Chinese private capital. Spring Airlines is the only remaining member of China's first batch of private airlines. It is the first low-cost airline in China. Its net profit in 2011 exceeded 470 million yuan, making it the most successful low-cost airline in China. It is headquartered in Shanghai and has offices in Shanghai Hongqiao Airport and There are bases at Shanghai Pudong Airport, Shijiazhuang Zhengding Airport and Shenyang Taoxian Airport. Spring Airlines Co., Ltd. was established on May 26, 2004 with the approval of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. It was founded by Spring and Autumn Travel Agency with a registered capital of 80 million yuan. At the beginning, it only had 3 leased Airbus A320 aircraft and operated domestic airlines. 10. Juneyao Airlines
Shanghai Juneyao Airlines Co., Ltd. (abbreviated as Juneyao Airlines or Juneyao Airlines) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Juneyao Group, a well-known domestic private enterprise. It is a Shanghai-based airline. The emerging private airline at the base is a private capital airline jointly invested and established by Shanghai Juneyao (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Juneyao Group, and Shanghai Juneyao Aviation Investment Co., Ltd. The company's English name is named after JuneYao. The establishment was approved by the Civil Aviation Administration of China and the Shanghai Municipal Government in June 2005. 16. Kunming Airlines
