After teenagers choose a science and technology activity topic, they must carefully plan how to implement it. This is the design and implementation of the activity plan. The design and implementation of activity plans include determining the purpose of the activity, activity content, activity methods, activity procedures, activity equipment, activity venues, etc. and the specific operations of the activity.

1. The purpose and content of scientific and technological activities:

Generally, it is to verify scientific knowledge, explore scientific knowledge and summarize scientific laws.

The core of scientific and technological activities is to determine the activity methods, including a series of thinking activities and methods of practical activities, that is, the sum of the approaches, means, tools and methods used in the activities. Physiologist Pavlov said: "Science advances with the achievements of research methods." It can be seen that methods are a necessary condition for the success of scientific research.

2. Common methods of scientific and technological activities:

1. Observation method:

Observation method refers to obtaining scientific facts through purposeful and selective observation Natural information activity methods. Scientific observation is not just feeling and seeing, but observation that is purposeful, selective, and can be combined with thinking. Only when the purpose of observation is clear and the objects selected are accurate can the attention of the observation be more focused and the observation more comprehensive and typical. When observing, we must pay attention to examining the object of observation from multiple aspects, levels, and angles. We must not replace the whole with the part, or replace the objective facts with the subjective. We must also pay attention to grasping the essential characteristics of things and not be confused by superficial phenomena. For example, observation methods are often used for activities such as ecological inspections and animal behavior observations.

2. Experimental method:

The experimental method is based on the purpose of research, using certain instruments and equipment to make a certain thing or process happen repeatedly under human control, intervention or simulation. To acquire scientific knowledge or explore the laws of nature. Compared with the observation method, the experimental method can simplify and purify complex natural phenomena or natural processes, making the essential characteristics of things emerge from the background of many non-essential characteristics. Experimental methods can make phenomena that are difficult to observe under natural conditions reproduce repeatedly through artificial control and triggering, so that the essential characteristics of things can be strengthened. Therefore, experimental methods have become the main method of human scientific research. For example, to prevent and control the poplar looper (an insect that damages poplar trees), it is necessary to understand its life history, and it is difficult to observe its life history in the natural environment (poplar trees are very tall, and it is difficult to climb up the tree to observe). By using experimental methods to raise poplar loopers artificially in the laboratory and fully understanding its life history, we can find a breakthrough for the prevention and control of poplar loopers.

3. Survey method:

The survey method refers to a way to gain in-depth and practical understanding of specific things through certain channels to obtain first-hand information and complete scientific and technological activities. In practical application, survey methods include field survey and literature survey. When using the survey method, you must also pay attention to the method. For example, when carrying out biotechnology, agricultural science and technology, and environmental science and technology activities, due to complex natural phenomena, limited human energy, etc., it is impossible to conduct all field surveys, and some objects are often selected from the whole. Survey sampling method. As a supplement to the field investigation, the use of literature survey can get twice the result with half the effort to gain a deeper understanding of the nature of the things under investigation from the history, development and overall picture, thereby summarizing certain scientific laws.

When specifically designing a certain scientific and technological activity plan, it is often necessary to use various methods, but no matter which method is used, one should broaden his mind and find a new approach. This is because the core of scientific and technological activities is creativity. determined. For example, when the Austrian missionary Mendel studied the genetic rules of relative shapes of peas, he abandoned the traditional biological scientific research methods and used mathematical statistics for the first time. Based on a large number of experiments and observations, he summarized the separation rules of biological inheritance. and the laws of free combination, creating the modern science of genetics. For another example, the accomplished physicist Lorenz always lingered outside the door of the theory of relativity because he did not get rid of Newton's concepts of "absolute time" and "stationary ether". When Einstein broke the shackles of the old theory, he achieved epoch-making scientific achievements. It can be seen that innovation is extremely important in scientific and technological activities.

In the process of implementing the activity plan as planned, attention should be paid to the recording of observations, experiments and survey results, and the plan should be revised or even re-formulated according to the situation until the activity achieves corresponding results.
