The total number of members of the three-tube band is about 90. 2 each of flutes, oboes, clarinets, and bassoons, plus 1 piccolo, 1 English horn, 1 bass clarinet, and 1 bassoon, making 3 woodwinds of all kinds; 3 trumpets , 6 French horns, 3 trombones, 1 tuba; 16 first violins, 14 second violins, 12 violas, 10 cellos, 6 double basses; the percussion group requires 3 A player.
The total number of members of the four-band band is about 110. Three each of flutes, oboes, clarinets, and bassoons, and one each of piccolo, English horn, bass clarinet, and bassoon.
