The reason for the name Starbucks

Starbucks’ green logo is a two-tailed Poseidon image that looks like a mermaid. This logo was designed in 1971 by Terry Heckler, a young designer in Seattle, who was inspired by medieval woodcut Poseidon statues. The mermaid image on the logo also conveys the dual meaning of primitiveness and modernity: her face is very simple, but it is packaged in a modern abstract form, with black and white in the middle and only surrounded by a circle of color on the outside. When Starbucks created this logo twenty years ago, there was only one coffee shop. Today, the graceful "green mermaid" has become a symbol of American culture along with the McDonald's "m". Thanks to the development of Starbucks, designers have also given mermaids increasingly rich images. We finally see the full-length image of the mermaid on the new anniversary package, and it is different from the designed version. It is back to realism, but this time the mermaid is much more beautiful~ We have long forgotten the one who once confused the sailors. Starbucks has made her our neighbor who treats guests with coffee.
