How did Luo Cheng die in the Tang Dynasty?

It is said in "Shuo Tang" that Li Shimin was imprisoned and the people of the Qin Palace were dispersed. Li Jiancheng and Yuanji resisted Liu Heitai who came to attack and lost one pass. Ma Boliang defended the other. Jiancheng and Yuanji went back to ask for help. He met Luo Cheng who came to visit the King of Qin. Luo Cheng was forced to go on an expedition and was framed by Jiancheng and Yuanji. He fell into a trap and was shot to death in the mud river by Liu Heitai's men. When people think of Luo Cheng, they will think of a heroic young hero with a white horse and a silver gun. However, after checking the historical records, there is no name Luo Cheng, only Luo Shixin. Both novels and plays say that Luo Cheng was named Shixin. The so-called Luo Cheng among the people should be regarded as Luo Shixin in history. "New Book of Tang" says that Luo Shixin was from Licheng, Qizhou. At the age of fourteen, he led troops to fight under Zhang Xutuo, the general guard of Qijun, and he was very brave. Later, he returned to Li Mi, then served Wang Shichong, and later joined Li Yuan, the emperor of the Tang Dynasty. He made many military exploits and was granted the title of Duke of Tan. In the fifth year of Wude, Luo Shixin followed Qin King Li Shimin to conquer Liu Heita and guard Luoshui City. When Liu Heitai attacked the city, it was snowing heavily. He was alone and without help, and the city was destroyed. Luo Shixin died unyielding at the age of twenty-eight. According to historical records, Luo Shixin "died unyieldingly when the city fell." It remains to be investigated whether it is a folk legend that he was shot through the chest by a random arrow and died in the mud river. But everyone agrees that Luo Cheng died in Mingshui. According to the "Pingxiang County Chronicle", the ancient Ming River flows through the Pingxiang area, and the Silt River should be its common name or its tributary. According to Yongnian County, where the ancient Mingzhou government is located, it is adjacent to Pingxiang. In the late Sui Dynasty, Dou Jiande and Liu Heitai both established their capitals here. Based on this, it can be inferred that it is a fact that Luo Shixin died in Aicun, Pingxiang County. There is still an earth platform in the west of Aicun Village. It is said that it was the Dianjiang Platform built by Luo Cheng when he fought against Liu Heita. Two or three miles southeast of Jiangtai is the old course of Silt River. There is an alkali-heavy barren land in the farmland of Team 7 of Ai Village today. It is said to be the place where Luo Cheng's salt transport fleet capsized. "New Book of Tang" records that Luo Shixin was buried in Beimang, Luoyang. Why is there Luo Cheng's tomb in Ai Village? At that time, the war was in chaos, and the general died in the army. He was buried locally and his coffin was moved to a formal burial at a later date. This was normal. Therefore, Luo Cheng in Ai Village may be the first burial ground of Luo Shixin.
