Since the outbreak, the situation has come and gone. Most people are locked up at home, and the word "travel" seems to be out of reach. Looking back on the trip to Qushan Island a month ago, those beautiful moments are still vivid in my mind.
On June 26, 2020, six members of the Potato Pancake Club and two friends from the Book Friends Home went to Quzhou Island together. Quzhou Island, also known as Daqu, is located in the northeast of Gaoting Town, Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province. Guanyin Mountain is the most scenic place on the island, with an altitude of 314 meters.
This trip to Quzhou Island is very special to me because it is the last team building of Potato Pancake in the first half of 2020. This is also the last time the official team made an effort in the first half of the year to organize everyone’s outing. By the way, I am the person writing this article and the outgoing chairman of Hash Brown at the time.
I have been the president of the club for half a year. Although I have not worked hard, I still "think about him all the time and care about him every day", trying to expand the influence of the club in every possible way. One week before leaving office, I still felt a bit nostalgic. This is inevitable, after all, I have been called "Chairman" for half a year. I wonder how many people in this world have the opportunity to "be the chairman".
The auspicious time has arrived, and the new officials of Potato Pancake in the second half of 2020 are ready to go. Being able to break away from home in the form of travel is of great significance. After all, the most difficult couple to break up can say goodbye completely through travel, right?
There are eight adults and a baby in this trip. And I am the only mother with a baby. I had taken my two-year-old to Japan two years ago by myself, so this trip was nothing.
Early in the morning on the 26th, Xu Yang, Ouyang, Victor, Poppin, Zhenyue, Xiaobai, Gao Lin and my daughter and I gathered at the Nanpu Bridge Distribution Center. After bus tours, bus tours, ferries, and vans, we finally arrived at Qushan Island Beach B&B. This B&B is a renovated private house with one to three floors. It's only a three-minute walk from the beach.
A few old men were sitting and chatting at the entrance of the village, very leisurely. We quickly put down our bags and started a leisurely island tour.
The two-day and one-night itinerary was fully arranged by the team leader Zhenyue. There are activities such as flying kites and drones on the beach, ringing bells from the nine-story Guanyin Mountain Pagoda, barbecuing and gossiping in the sea breeze, and bonfire and beer parties on the beach.
Apart from playing, everyone’s gossip is the most interesting thing. The evening at the beach was very beautiful after a light rain. The sea breeze blew slowly, and everyone drank refreshing beer from paper cups and ate delicious barbecue (some barbecue tasted very strange).
Along with the black smoke from the barbecue, newly promoted VPPR Xu Yang spoke up: "Let's gossip about love history one by one. First of all, I don't have much love history, and the next one is Ouyang Teacher." Just like that, Teacher Ouyang began to tell his story. Teacher Ouyang's story is the most interesting. The emotional pain of the past is irresistible in the face of today's high emotional intelligence. Everyone was amused by Teacher Ouyang's humor and wisdom. In addition, Zhenyue’s story is also “intriguing”. Zhenyue probably won’t see this post, otherwise I won’t mention it.
I think what everyone is talking about is not gossip, but feelings~ There is an energy in Tsinghua, the energy of youth.
In this way, everyone drank and talked until late at night.
I laughed until after ten o'clock in the middle of the night, the tide rose. Crews dragged the bonfire back to the embankment. A group of us returned to the B&B.
It was already eleven o'clock at night when we returned to the B&B. I was about to wash up and go to bed quickly, but suddenly I found that my friends moved chairs to Victor's room and continued gossiping. For someone like me who can't stay up late, it's really amazing...I really envy everyone's energy.
Half an hour later, the door to the next room opened. The eldest sister revealed half of her body and said seriously: "Please keep your voice down, we are going to have a rest here." Only then did everyone realize that the room was not well soundproofed, so they moved downstairs to continue chatting. I don’t know what will happen next, because I really can’t stand everyone.
At noon the next day, everyone had a seafood dinner at the B&B. The owner of the B&B cooks delicious food. In the afternoon, it started raining heavily. Unexpectedly, everyone was still very interested. Victor, Poppin and others made an appointment to ride a scooter around the island.
On the way back, I asked Poppin if it was fun to ride a bicycle in the rain. Her answer made me regret not going along.
Time flies, and one month has passed in the blink of an eye. I believe this has left wonderful memories for everyone.
Life as an adult is never easy. We need to work and take care of our families. In the complicated tasks, we still try to live out ourselves, but it is inevitable that we will lose ourselves. A trip to Qushan Island is like a break in a busy life, allowing everyone to relax and cleanse their mind.
