What is the national official website of the national query system with the same name and surname? How to check for duplicate names?

When many parents are naming their children, they will be curious about the number of people with the same name in China, hoping that the name of their newborn will not be the same as that of too many people. Or some friends are just curious about how many people in China have the same name as them, so how do they check for the same name?

The public security agency officially provides an online query system for the number of people with the same name and the same name in the country (see the end of the article for the query entry).

Query method:

Visit the guide page of the national public security agency’s same-name query system and click “Query the number of people with the same name”.

In the pop-up window, select "Nationwide" and click "Confirm".

The user will be prompted to log in, and they need to log in before they can query. If you have registered before, fill in your mobile phone number or ID number, password, and verification code to log in. If you have not registered before, click the "User Registration" button.

After clicking "User Registration", enter the "Personal Registration" interface and fill in personal information as mentioned above, such as ID number, user name, mobile phone number, login password, etc. (You can leave it blank if there is no *).

After completing the form, click "Register".

Then, real-name authentication is required. Only after real-name authentication is the registration successful.

After registering an account, log in with the account you just registered. When logged in, click "Check the number of people with the same name" mentioned at the beginning of the article to enter the domestic same name query system.

Fill in the name you want to query, select the gender, enter the verification code, and click OK to get the results.

Below are the results I got from randomly looking up a name.

There are 1.4 billion people in the country, but the number of frequently used Chinese characters is limited, so the same name is inevitable. A name is just a code for addressing people. If you deliberately choose some uncommon words in order to avoid duplication of names, you will be picking up sesame seeds and losing watermelon, and even bring all kinds of inconveniences. Just imagine the embarrassment of others trying to say your name but not knowing how to pronounce it, or trying to write your name but not knowing how to write it. Therefore, there is no need to pursue absolute differences in names when choosing names. As long as the names are relatively different, for example, if they are not encountered so often and are not repeated among acquaintances, it will be fine.
