Hello, leading teachers!
I said that the content of the course is "The Use of Functions" in the third chapter of the second volume of Junior High School Information Technology published by Hebei University Press.
First, teaching material analysis:
The purpose of this lesson is to use the four functions of sum, average, maximum and minimum in Excel spreadsheet examples, so that students can use the functions to complete the data calculation of simple tables independently. This part occupies a very important position in this chapter of Excel and is one of the core contents of Excel. Function is the most convenient and effective tool for calculating tabular data, and it is also one of the ultimate goals of learning Excel. To this end, the following teaching objectives and difficulties are formulated:
Knowledge goal:
1, students understand the concept of function and master the structure of function.
2. Students should master how to use the functions of summation, average, maximum and minimum.
Ability goal:
1 to improve students' ability to analyze and process data.
2. Cultivate students' ability to manage data.
3. Cultivate students' ability to comprehensively apply what they have learned and solve practical problems.
Emotionally:
1, cultivate students' spirit of positive thinking and active exploration.
2. Cultivate students' patient and meticulous learning attitude.
3. Cultivate students' feelings of respecting teachers and attaching importance to teaching.
Teaching emphasis: summation, average, use of maximum and minimum functions.
Teaching difficulties: the general format of functions and the selection of cell areas.
Second, the analysis of teaching methods:
In the teaching process of this course, if we only teach theoretical knowledge and the operations in examples, it will inevitably make students feel too boring. In order to stimulate students' interest in learning, I ask students to solve forms closely related to their own life and study, and let students solve problems around them through the form function. Therefore, I focus on task-driven teaching method. Organize teaching with demonstration teaching method, cooperative practice method and question introduction method as auxiliary methods, make full use of multimedia network classroom environment and other teaching methods to assist teaching, and give full play to the leading role of teachers and the main role of students. Through task-based teaching method, students can learn with tasks and gradually generate knowledge and skills in the process of completing tasks, so as to achieve the purpose of classroom activities and enable students to master the use of functions in spreadsheets.
Three, study the guidance of the law:
Grade eight students have a basic knowledge of computer word processing, but they are not familiar with table processing. Our duty is not only to teach the knowledge in books, but also to cultivate students' spirit of positive thinking and active exploration, cultivate students' patient and meticulous learning attitude and teach them some principles and methods of doing things. In view of the fact that students are more concerned about their academic performance, I instruct students to use functions to calculate the "mid-term examination report" of this class. In the learning process, students can further understand the use of functions in spreadsheets from a perceptual point of view through teacher's guidance, teacher-student interaction, students' cooperation and communication, calculating their own test scores and other classroom exercises.
Fourth, the teaching process
1, import theme
"The mid-term exam is over. Do the students want to know their grades? How is the transcript made? " Use this question to stimulate students' interest, and at the same time show the "Mid-term Examination Report", so that students can calculate the total score with the formula method they have just learned. The enthusiasm of students must be very high! Will be busy counting! But solving this problem with formulas will make students feel more troublesome. Taking advantage of this, the teacher concluded: if we use formulas to solve this problem, it will be more troublesome to write and easy to make mistakes. Leading to the use of functions provided by Excel to complete the calculation can avoid such troubles. This leads to the topic-the use of functions.
2. New lesson
After the function is put forward, the concept of function is briefly described, and the structure of function is mainly emphasized, such as "= sum(number 1:number 2)", and it is explained. At the same time, let students pay attention to: (the format of parameters should be strict; Symbols should be in English to avoid mistakes. )
Activity 1 (Sum): Show students how to use the sum function!
Homework: Let students use this function to calculate their grades! And compared with the simpler formula method. (Teachers visit)
After the completion, the teacher asked: Can the scores of so many students be simplified by the automatic filling function?
Some students will think of using the fill handle for relative references filling! So review the important tool in EXCEL-fill handle.
Activity 2 (automatic sum and paste function): Question: Can I sum without handwriting? Students may be surprised. At this time, the teacher suggested that it is more convenient and faster to sum with the automatic sum and paste function in EXCEL. At the same time, show students how to use it and then let them experience it. Through practice and comparison, students feel that it is more convenient and faster to use the automatic sum and paste function.
Activity 3 (average): The teacher introduces the students' operation. The Average function is AVERAGE, and the usage is exactly the same as the SUM function. And assign tasks; Open the "Mid-term Examination Report", please add "Total Score of Subjects" and "Average Score of Subjects" to the worksheet, and use the sum and average score you have just learned to find out! You can also use the paste function, but remind students to choose the data range. Let students experience the usage of AVERAGE, just like SUM function. Students can talk to each other and see if the calculation results are the same. While the students are operating, the teacher is patrolling below.
In the operation, some students may include the total score when using AVERAGE to get the average score of each subject.
Teacher's summary: The teacher emphasizes how to correct these mistakes according to the students and demonstrates them to the students. This corrects the mistakes in the students' operation. At the same time, students will also realize the importance of geographical choice. Then let the students correct their mistakes, let them know where they are wrong, and let them further master the use of the average function.
Activity 4 (MAM and MIN): the teacher introduced that the MAXimum and MINimum functions are max and min respectively. And assign tasks: add "the highest score" and "the lowest score" under the "mid-term exam score table", and then use two functions to find the highest score and the lowest score respectively. This time, students will learn from the experience of the last lesson in the actual calculation process, pay attention to the correct selection of areas, and calculate the highest and lowest scores. So as to master the use of maximum function and minimum function.
3. Classroom exercises.
Ask the students to open the first monthly exam report prepared in advance, and let them observe and assign tasks: please calculate the total score, average score and highest score of all students. See who is the fastest! After calculating the score, compare it with the mid-term exam score sheet just calculated! Did your grades improve?
Through practice, students further experience the use of several commonly used functions. It also stimulates students' enthusiasm for learning.
4. Ability improvement
The teacher shows the "midterm exam report" and asks questions:
(1) Can you sort by students' total scores?
(2) Can you calculate the passing number and outstanding number of other subjects according to the examples?
Can you solve the above problems? Organize students to discuss.
Then the teacher demonstrates the solution.
Teacher's message: Excel provides us with more than a dozen internal functions of different calculation types, which can help us complete different data calculations. More functions require professional study. We studied here in junior high school. I hope interested students can further study in the future.
5, summary and homework
Review the discussion learned in this lesson.
(1) What did you gain from this lesson?
(2) Through the calculation, analysis and comparison of these two achievements, what are your plans?
The teacher summarizes the assignment: this lesson mainly studies the use of four functions, and the key is that the data area of the function structure must be selected correctly. In the future study and life, we should use the knowledge we have learned to help teachers complete the input, formatting and calculation of report forms. Do something for the teacher!
Five, the blackboard design
Lesson 4 The Use of Functions
First, the summation function
1, function format: = function (number1:NUMBER 2)
Step 2 use the SUM function
3. Use the automatic sum and paste function
Second, the average function
Third, find the function of maximum and minimum.
Sixth, teaching evaluation.
Excel functions are abstract and complicated to use, which is difficult for eighth-grade students to accept. But as long as the things around students are linked, students are interested and use them more, they can master proficiency. Friendly communication with students in class and stimulating their enthusiasm for learning will bring unexpected results to every class. Teachers should also pay attention to this aspect, praise students from the heart, show their true feelings and pay attention to every student, so that every student can be improved to varying degrees.
