Why is a village in Hebei called the "Land of the Trapped Dragon"?

Because two famous monarchs died in this unknown small village, one was King Zhao Wuling, and the other was more famous than him, Ying Zheng. To be precise, both of them died in the Sand Dune Palace, which is just south of a small village in a county town in Hebei Province today. That village is called Platform Village.

Its current location is in a county in Xingtai City, Hebei Province. There are not many people in this village now. There are less than 4,000 people in total. They make a living by planting. In fact, I really didn't expect that this seemingly inconspicuous little village would have the deaths of two well-known emperors.

King Wuling of Zhao was definitely an accomplished king. During his reign, he implemented many reform measures, which made the State of Zhao very powerful at that time. Not even mentioning it, he wanted to attack Qin at that time. If the attack was successful, many things might change. So how did King Zhao Wuling die? Because of the power struggle, he was trapped alive by his youngest son in the Dune Palace. In fact, to put it simply, he starved to death. I didn't expect that he would end up like this after a wise life. It's really sad.

Qin Shihuang also died of illness in this Sand Dune Palace. What happened was that Ying Zheng went out for an inspection, but fell seriously ill on the way. Just as he was walking to the Sand Dune Palace, his condition suddenly worsened, and he died in the Sand Dune Palace. The most important thing is that he died before the edict of passing the throne was sent. If he was not so seriously ill, then the edict of passing the throne to Fusu could be sent to Xianyang, and maybe the Qin Dynasty would not have perished so quickly. Maybe everything is God's will.
