Seven-leaf bodhi tree

? This Bodhi tree grows outside the gate of the Guanyin Zen Forest at an altitude of about 490 meters in Fangfang Mountain. It is an ancient Salo tree covered with vicissitudes of life, also known as the "horse chestnut tree". It is said that it was here during the Yuan Dynasty, and is also called the Bodhi tree or the seven-leaf Bodhi tree.

? This ancient sala tree grows in the Zen monastery. Every day, I listen to the chanting of sutras in the morning bells and evening drums, and I have become the most devout practitioner. Over the years, its originally smooth tree body has been engraved by the sky of time with the hardships and vicissitudes it has experienced over the past hundreds of years. The decaying branches record the journey, tell the story of the reincarnation of spring, summer, autumn and winter, and bear witness to the once powerful winds and clouds.

? The horse chestnut tree is not only beautiful in appearance, but also has an indissoluble bond with Buddhism. It is the "Buddhist holy tree" and is known as the Feng Shui sacred tree. It is also the tree in the courtyard of Buddha Sakyamuni’s monastery. The Buddha preached under this tree. After Nirvana, the disciples gathered for the first time and unified the scriptures and Dharma under this tree. Therefore, the horse chestnut is considered to be a very spiritual tree. The Buddha Sakyamuni attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, so the "Seven-leaf Bodhi" on Fangshan Mountain is even more regarded as a sacred tree by people. It is said that any wish made under the tree will come true, so there is an endless stream of people praying and worshiping. This ancient Sala tree has also become a legendary tree in Fangfang Mountain.

?

Today, more than 900 years have passed since this weather-beaten body is still standing, but its dazzling splendor has been taken away. The former "Seven-leaf Bodhi" has become an immortal legend, and the ancient Sala tree of that time has transformed itself into a tree fossil on Fangfang Mountain.

? I have to say that the passage of time has given us endless surprises and endless regrets! Every time I see this old tree, I still feel in awe!

"Bodhi has no tree, and the mirror is not a stand.

? There is nothing in the first place, so how can it cause dust."
