Origin of the surname Mu
There are different opinions about the origin of the surname Mu. One of them is that it comes from the surname Duanmu, who was given by Duanmu, a native of Weiguo in the Spring and Autumn Period. According to historical research, he was the ancestor of the Duanmu family. His descendants took the surname of the king's father and their surname was Duanmu.
