●Chapter 1

Tai Shang Laojun put Wukong into the alchemy furnace to refine it. Forty-nine days later, Wukong came out and made a big fuss in the Heavenly Palace. The Jade Emperor invited Tathagata Buddha. Sun Wukong somersaulted all the way and couldn't jump out of the Buddha's palm. Tathagata turned his five fingers into mountains to suppress Wukong. He ordered the Earth God to feed Wukong with iron pills and copper juice.

●Chapter 8

Five hundred years later, Tathagata Buddha wanted to find a follower to learn the scriptures so that the Buddha's Dharma could be spread to the East forever. Avalokitesvara led the wooden chak to ride on the clouds, carrying a cassock, a tin staff and three hoops of gold, tightness and ban. Along the way, they subdue Sha Wujing, Zhu Wuneng and Xiao Bailong; persuade Sun Wukong and let them protect the Buddhist scripture collector.

Wukong got the Wind-Fixing Pill and went to Suozhan, but was unable to move; then he turned into a bug and flew into the tea, where he was drank by the Rakshasa girl and writhed in his belly. Wukong went to Ji Lei Mountain to find the Bull Demon King who married Princess Jade Face and borrowed a fan; the Bull Demon King was invited away to a banquet. The old man and the other three old men are the essence of cypress, juniper, bamboo and pine. The four elders preached the Tao, and Monk Tang presided over the Buddha. The Apricot Fairy came to marry Monk Tang. When the disciples came to find him, the tree spirits turned into trees. The trees in Bajie fell down.

The four people returned to Chang'an and were welcomed by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty and all the officials. The next day, Emperor Taizong ascended to the throne and wrote the "Preface to the Holy Religion" to thank Tang Monk for his contribution to learning the scriptures.
