Longyuan Temple Fair Guide

The First Emperor's Sacrifice Ceremony

Dream back to the Qin Dynasty, and the First Emperor worships the Heaven.

Classic repertoire, a powerful lineup, and a grand blessing event.

In 219 BC, Qin Shihuang visited the east and stayed at the former site of Longyuan. At night, he dreamed of a dragon lying on the bank of the Yi River. The next day, the Langya County magistrate and local elders asked about the dream. The prefect and his entourage knelt down: eight hundred miles from Yimeng Mountain to Yaowan Roman Lake in the south and into the East China Sea. It is a mother river that has nurtured generations of people. The emperor has arrived today, and the dragon clan is dreaming at night. God proves that His Majesty's favor is the real dragon, and Longze is the world. It is indeed a blessing to all the people of Daqin! When the emperor heard about this, he was very happy. He set up an altar here to hold a grand ceremony to worship heaven to ensure the safety of mountains and rivers and abundant harvests. He also allocated a lot of money to improve the Yi River. Later generations were surprised to find that there was indeed a dragon lying where the First Emperor Che Fengnian lived. The dragon head is located to the north of the Dragon King Temple. It looks lifelike when viewed from the island in the middle of the lake. The dragon altar is the dragon's spine, and the dragon's tail is in Tower Bridge Village. Villagers come to worship the dragon altar one after another, hoping that everything will go well and bring good fortune.

In order to recreate the grand occasion of the late emperor’s sacrifice to heaven, we carefully choreographed the “First Emperor’s Sacrifice to Heaven Ceremony” and officially staged it during the Longyuan Temple Fair.

Praying sincerely for a better life and a peaceful and auspicious new year is the most appropriate thing to do in the new year.
