What are the legends about Duqiao Town, Linhai City, Zhejiang Province?

Where is the Du Bridge in the past? But I heard its name but did not see the bridge. I visited Mosang in search of traces, and I was happy to find even the slightest trace. Friends, when you walk along Dongfeng Street in Weinan City from east to west to Duqiao Middle School, you will see buildings and factories dotted around you, creating a prosperous scene. However, if you look up, you can't see the bridge, and if you look down, you can't see the flowing water. So why is this place called Du Bridge? It is said that a long time ago, a winding and gurgling river flowed here, irrigating the fields on both sides. In spring, the willows are dark and the flowers are bright, in summer the rice is green and the wheat is yellow, in the golden autumn there are abundant fruits, and in winter the wintersweet is in full bloom. The weather is good every year, the cattle are fat and the horses are strong, the tanks are overflowing with goods, and every family lives and works in peace and contentment. It's not that a peach blossom garden is better than a peach blossom garden. People often say: "Too much honey is not sweet, and too much oil is not fragrant." After countless years and generations, the customs have become bad. The young men are too lazy to eat, and the grass in the fields grows as tall as one person. The girls and wives ruined the food all over the river beach. The white steamed buns grow hair, and the clear and bright sesame oil splashes like water. No one feels bad, it's just a joke. There is only one man named Du Gu who manages his family well, is diligent and frugal, cherishes food as much as his life, and saves money. His neighbors to the east and west also said that he was a "miser and a miser!" One day, the Jade Emperor appointed the God of Agriculture, Sinong, to come down to earth to inspect the people's situation. He went out of the Nantian Gate and pressed down the clouds, and happened to stand on the bank of the river. Three calls were made to the land god, who transformed into two monks, an old man and a young man, and went around the village to beg for alms and secretly observe the customs. When I walked to an unknown village, there was a big dung pile in front of the village. I took a closer look and saw that it was all moldy grains. The stale air was blowing in the wind, making me sick. The two of them moved forward, and the fragrant mutton dumplings flowed from the family's waterway. They visited a few more villages, which were roughly the same. Sinong God angrily waved his sleeves, stepped on the clouds to the sky, and told the Jade Emperor what he saw and heard. The Jade Emperor twitched his beard and snorted, and the Dragon King of the Wei River came: "I order you to have no rain for three years, and tell your nine sons not to stir up trouble and take back the right to control the water." Suddenly there was no water in the small river on the ground, and the Wei River was no longer flowing. It fell a few feet. Soon, the sky was cloudless and the sun was red. There were big holes in the ground, dead trees and scorched grass seedlings, and there was a white light everywhere. There was a severe drought in the first year, and people had enough food to survive. The next year, it didn't rain and there was no water in the canals. People had to peel bark from trees and dig grass roots to survive. In the third year, the drought became even more serious. It seemed that people could no longer survive and had no choice but to die. At this time, Du Gu, who was usually frugal, gave his grain storage house to all living beings to support the township party. Everyone praised Du Gu for his good deeds and his foresight. They unanimously elected him as the president of the association and took the lead in fetching water for the people. Within three days, the dragon flag was embroidered, the incense table was complete, and the sacrifices were ready. Du Gu led everyone to run straight along the river to the south plateau. They came to the deep ditch where the Longtan used to be, which is now the Qindong Chemical Factory (Box No. 2). They lit incense and burned the table, knelt down and bowed three times, and told the story. Heartfelt, begging for rain and water. Du Gu was a simple and honest person, and the more he thought about it, the more his heart ached, and the more he felt the pain, the more he cried until he ran out of tears. For three days and three nights, he cried and worshiped the Dragon Pond. Blood dripped from his eyes and fell drop by drop into the dry Long Pond. The benevolent land god went to heaven to pay homage to the Jade Emperor, told the people their difficulties, and spoke kindly of how Du Gu waited for his kindness. The Jade Emperor believed that Du Gu was loyal and kind, so he made Du Gu a god in the palace. However, it was said that while Du Gu was wailing and praying, a stream of clear water came out several feet high, and he happily jumped into the dragon pool, and immediately disappeared. Everyone yelled and screamed, hunted and fished, but there was no trace. For a time, "Du Gu turned into water" became a popular story and became famous throughout the countryside. From then on, people called Longtan Duguquan, the ditch Dugugou, and the small river Dugushui. Wangwang spring water, spurting day and night, rushes out of the valley mouth, twists and turns, bypasses Anlei Village, flows through Guli Village, flows past Wangzhen Village, Fengyin Village, Zhuwang Village, and flows into the Weihe River. Because the valley was deep and the water was large, people built a bridge and named it Du Bridge. All year round, the valley has blue waves and clear water, which irrigates the fertile fields. Rice and wheat are full and round. In summer and autumn, there is more than enough harvest. From then on, people became frugal and few people wasted food.
