Seeking the ranking of the generals of the Three Kingdoms

Ranking of the military force of the generals of the Three Kingdoms

I have read the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" comic strip since I was a child, and as an adult, I have read "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" and "The Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms", which can be regarded as a brief understanding of the story of the Three Kingdoms. Regarding the ranking of the generals of the Three Kingdoms, I remember that the predecessors have always concluded that "one Lu, two Zhao, three Dianwei, four passes, five horses and six Zhang Fei", I think it is quite realistic. Of course, I also have my own different views.

However, I deeply disagree with the recent online evaluation of the martial arts rankings of the generals of the Three Kingdoms. Therefore, I will not hesitate to comment.

1. Lu Bu

Lü Bu ranks first. Anyone who has read "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" will have no objection. Regardless of the fact that Marquis Wen fought against the eighteen princes at Hulao Pass, holding a halberd drawn by Fang Tian, ??riding a red rabbit horse, and cutting the world's famous generals with his hands, it was like looking for something from a bag, but he was treating the world's heroes as trivial matters! With this courage and heroism, we don’t need to go into details about how many great people he has killed and how many masters he has defeated. All books related to the Three Kingdoms have also been concluded.

2. Guan Yu

Let’s talk about Guan Yu, who is absolutely underestimated.

Stalin said: "The victor should not be blamed." The online comments the day before yesterday (hereinafter referred to as "previous comments") seemed to have been dismissive of Guan Yu's many feats that shocked China. The implication seems to be that there is a lot of luck involved. However, anyone with a little bit of intelligence knows that if the so-called "luck" is taken care of all the time, it will no longer be luck but strength. When ancient masters fought fiercely on the battlefield, how could luck favor them again and again?

Let’s talk about killing Hua Xiong first. At that time, Guan Yu rushed out of the battle on horseback. Xiong had been in battle for a long time. How could he be like Yuan Shao and Yuan Shu who asked mother-in-law and mother-in-law: "What is your name?" "What is your current position?" If you are too lazy (of course, it may be too late) to talk, just pick up your sword and ride on horseback to fight. Xiong killed Yu She and Pan Feng in front of him in just a few seconds. Not only did it not consume much physical energy for him, but it was also a small test of his skill, and it was just a good warm-up before the big battle! And Yu stupidly rushed out in anger, he was completely pissed off by the snobbish Yuan Shu just now, so why did he still want to suffer a loss? ! If the two fight against each other, Yu will definitely suffer a little loss! How could it be that, as mentioned in the previous article, Hua Xiong relied on his position, looked forward and backward, fished for fame, and underestimated the enemy and was killed? ! If Yuan Shao follows the previous argument and sends a girl to fight, he may get twice the result with half the effort and make Xiong die faster! ! !

Let’s talk about Baimapo. Yan Liang is indeed a tiger general in the world. If he had not been killed by Guan Yu, he would have been ranked above Zhao Yun and Zhang Fei. It is not surprising that Liang Qing took Song Xian and Wei to save his life, but Xu Huang was defeated after twenty battles! I remember reading comic strips when I was a child, and I was shocked when I saw this: When Huang first came out of the mountain, he and Xu Chu fought at fifty and it was hard to tell the difference (of course, the battle with Yu later does not count, because Shi Yu was fifty-eight and Huang was forty-nine) Years old, age is dominant, and Yu’s right arm is weak after scraping the bones), but he is still defeated by Liang at only twenty years old? When I was ten years old at the time, I suddenly thought: "Xu Chu's battle with Yan Liang should be less than 50 yuan. Then Yan Liang is really only comparable to Lu Bu." In the traditional Peking Opera "White Horse Slope", it is indeed added that Xu Chu is not convinced and fights Yan Liang Of course, the plot of being defeated was purely sensational to show Liang's courage, and added color to Guan Yu's subsequent victory.

In my opinion, Guan Yu's killing of Yan Liang did not involve much luck. This can be seen from his boasting in front of Cao Cao: "Hebei people, horses, chickens and dogs, Yan Liang sells the first one!" Looking at the entire "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", when did Guan Yu fail to fulfill his boasts? This can only prove that Guan Yu has an extremely high IQ, and he also has extraordinary courage and in-depth study of martial arts! He must have known the strengths and weaknesses of Yan Liang's sword skills from his own observations and Xu Huang's (Kang Naoyu's good friend) oral account of the defeat, so he was confident and charged straight forward with his sword in hand! Forget about those useless things, the key is that Yan Liang was killed and Guan Yu is still alive! Moreover, killing, beheading, hanging the head, mounting the horse, and returning to camp are all done in one go, as if entering a deserted place! That Yu is just a skilled assassin? No clever assassin would kill a person whose martial arts and IQ are higher than his own, and who is neither sleeping nor drunk! Everything must speak for itself!

If Wen Chou is punished, the "preliminary discussion" will be even more problematic! Chou and Liang have always been equally famous for their bravery. After his old friend Liang was killed, Chou came to Xunyu with the determination to avenge Liang. In the first battle, one against two, Zhang Liao was wounded with a bow and arrow, then Xu Huang was driven back, and the army returned to cover up the attack. Guan Yu took the initiative to attack him.

Faced with the enemy who killed his old friend Yan Liang, Chou unexpectedly "cannot fight and retreats with fear"!

Please think carefully: "Why did Chou retreat?" The only explanation can only be that after he fought with Yu, he felt that Yu was difficult to deal with. He was indeed a god with more murderous intent than himself. Thus "retreating from fear"! When masters compete with each other, they can actually estimate the strength of their opponents through counting, and Chou must have noticed it. At this time, if Chou still had confidence and fighting spirit, he should at least fight and retreat. Because it stands to reason that if both parties have similar martial arts skills, the pursuer will suffer and be in danger of being plotted against. For example, Yu prepared to deal with Huang Zhong's "drag knife" during the battle in Changsha, and Yue Fei's "returning spear" during the battle with Yang Zaixing. They were all used when they could not win after a fierce battle and finally pretended to retreat. If the fighting spirit is still there and the courage is still there, and you can fight and retreat, it is not difficult to come back intact. Even if Yu's horse is fast, he can't easily catch up and kill him with a knife! Only when Wen Chou has no confidence and only wants to run for his life with his head lowered and gun raised will he suffer this vicious attack. Therefore, we believe that Wen Chou is indeed not Guan Yu's opponent.

For the ranking of martial arts, without fighting or deciding the outcome, we believe that it is most objective to judge the ranking based on the martial arts level of killing generals. The good and the ugly two killed by Yu were too heavyweight, and it would be difficult for him to forgive Lu Bu. Therefore, it is most reasonable to rank Guan Yu second.

If Yan Liang had not been killed, he could have been ranked in the top three, but since he was caught off guard and was killed, he could only be ranked sixth. After all, real heroes should not be killed in battle. .

3. Ma Chao

Ma Chao made his debut at the age of 17 (AD 192). He followed his father to fight against Li Cui and Guo Si. He captured the general immediately and bravely won the three armies. Later, he returned to Xiliang and joined forces with Han Sui to attack Cao Cao to avenge his father and brother. He defeated many generals in Cao's camp, especially his victory over the famous general Zhang He in twenty rounds, which attracted the most attention.

Zhang He, a famous general in Hejian, reached the level of invincibility in the world during the post-Three Kingdoms period. In his prime, he was defeated by Chao with only twenty matches! That's more than one level worse! ! He had only two defeats in his life: ten years ago (AD 200) when he was in his 20s, he lost to Zhao Yun in Runan for more than 30 years, and in 211 AD when he was in his 30s, he lost to Chao for 20 years. In fact, we can see Chao Yuyun from these two battles. Relying on his youth and self-improvement, and practicing diligently, He's martial arts skills have been improving steadily. Finally, in 218 AD, when he was 40 years old, he won a draw at thirty and was praised by Guan Yu in front of Cao Cao for "taking the head of a general among a million troops." Zhang Fei who "explores the bag to retrieve things". Later, all the famous generals of the Three Kingdoms died, and He reached the point where he was invincible in the world, and only Wei Yan in the Shu camp could barely resist the enemy (which was slightly inferior).

The "previous theory" believes that Ma Chao fought against Zhang Fei (in 214 AD) because Chao took advantage of his age and physical strength, so Fei Ying was ranked ahead of Chao. This is worth discussing. Chao was 39 years old and Fei was 48. Fei was indeed 9 years older than Chao, but did you know that Fei died of an assassination attempt by his subordinates at the age of 55, while Chao died of illness the year after Fei's death? This proves that the physical condition of Chao, who matures early, is no better than that of the older Fei (this situation is often seen, and Huang Zhong is especially typical)! Chao's 39-year-old may have declined more in terms of combat power than Fei's 48-year-old! Moreover, Fei was inspired by Kong Ming and had the courage to fight; but Liu Bei used tactics to persuade Fei to rest and let him wait for work. It wasn't until Chao, who had come all the way from afar, was shouting and scolding outside the city that he was exhausted, and then Liu Bei let Fei go into battle. Just imagine how much loss Chao suffered? In this way, Fei didn't take any advantage in the subsequent fight!

The previous argument is that Xu Chu and Ma Chao were also inspired by Cao Cao to fight. Although they were tied, they still thought Chao was superior to Chu. We fully agree with this point. But I don’t understand why the previous argument favors Zhang Sanye on similar issues, rather than putting Fei ahead of him? There is definitely a contradiction in this.

I also want to tell you something strange. It is written in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" that during the rebellion against Xiliang, Ma Chao chased Cao Cao alone. When Cao Cao was about to die, Cao Hong, the savior, fought hard with Ma Chao for forty or fifty years to help Cao escape.

I have been puzzled for more than 20 years, and now I boldly propose that this is one of the few clerical errors in the entire "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" by Mr. Luo Guanzhong! Mr. Luo's other martial arts confrontations throughout the book are all very reasonable, but only the passage about Savior Cao Hong is very inconsistent with the whole book! Even if Cao Hong is as powerful as a mad tiger, there is no way he can fight Ma Chao forty or fifty times to the death! Cao Hong has faced enemies all his life and has never won a decent battle (killing a few generals is nothing). Even if he didn't want his life, with Ma Chao's bravery, how could he not be able to kill Cao Hong with dozens of spears? Unless Ma Chao suffered a heart attack at that time, the battle would definitely be resolved within twenty rounds! Besides, we are not fighting with bare hands, in which case we can still stalk each other, but now we have a silver gun in our hand, which can be stabbed through the chest! Therefore, I am not afraid of everyone’s laughter. I insist that this is a clerical error by Mr. Luo. The correct answer is that when Cao Hong was about to give up after fourteen or five rounds, Xia Houyuan arrived in time and Ma Chao retreated.

Ma Chao appears less in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms", and is far less described than Guan, Zhang, and Zhao, and not as good as Huang Zhong, but we think that with his twenty-twenty victory, he defeated Zhang Hezhi in the prime of life in Hejian. A feat that ranks third is not an exaggeration.

4. Zhao Yun

In many Three Kingdoms stories and dramas, storytellers and games, Zhao Yun is a character that has always been overrated. Only Chen Shou's "Three Kingdoms" is more pertinent.

Although Zhao Yun has some pinnacle works such as his debut battle with Wen Chou, Runan's fight with Xu Chu, Chang Banpo's three advances and three attempts to save the young master among a million Cao soldiers, Han River to save Huang Zhong, and seventy-year-old killing of five generals. , but what really reflects his strength is the powerful actions of assassinating Gao Lan in Runan and defeating Zhang He in more than thirty years. Regardless of whether Gao Lan was prepared at the time, he was stabbed to death by Zhao Yun on his horse, which is proof of this. Defeating Zhang He in more than thirty groups is even more of a strength!

Zhao Yun is a general who is most in line with the spirit of traditional Chinese culture. He is loyal, loyal, humble, prudent, incorruptible, obedient, and gregarious. He never disobeys Shangfeng's wishes. In battles throughout his life, he always takes the lead and leads the charge. , be bold and careful, and strictly implement orders. According to historical records, Yun went through fierce battles in his life and only lost once. This was also a reward for his good qualities. This kind of person is the most in line with Chinese culture's standards of god creation and perfection. Therefore, any version of the Three Kingdoms story will always only perfect Zhao Yun.

Zhao Yunchang went to Banpo to rescue the young master, went in and out several times, and killed more than fifty members of General Cao Ying. If he died in battle in the end, his glorious image would be greatly reduced. Thanks to Cao Cheng's love for Cai, he ordered not to shoot arrows but to capture them alive. Fortunately, the horses had good endurance (a horse was replaced in the middle), and they finally fought hard and broke through the siege. In this battle, Zhao Yun's performance was perfect. But have you seen it? Zhao Yun only met Zhang He, one of the tiger generals! At this time, where was Xu Chu, who had fought equally with Zhao Yun in Runan? Xiahou Dun, Xia Houyuan, Xu Huang, Zhang Liao, and Le Jin also seemed to be eager to accomplish Zhao Yunt's encirclement, so they avoided fighting. And when he meets ordinary people, Zhao Yun sacrifices his spear to his sword. Do you think he is lucky? ! In fact, it was Cao Cao's order that saved him.

Hanshui rescued Huang Zhong, and Zhao Yun cleverly used psychological warfare. At this time, Zhao Yun was already old (Zhao Yun was always dressed up as a handsome young white-horse general in comic books and dramas. In fact, he was older than Zhang Fei and similar to Guan Yu), but under his illustrious and undefeated character Under his prestige, when he entered a tight siege, Zhang He and Xu Huang did not even dare to fight. They watched Zhao Yun rescue Huang Zhong and break out of the siege!

A fair evaluation, Zhao Yun in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is the same as Guan Yu, the incarnation of the God of War! It is the embodiment of high IQ and high efficiency! ! Although he has never killed a true heavyweight in his life (Gao Lan is still half a level away from being a heavyweight), but given his great wisdom and courage, and his repeated victories, ranking fourth should be a fair evaluation.

5. Zhang Fei

Zhang Fei is also a figure who is slightly overestimated by the previous discussion.

After thirty rounds with Zhang He, there was no winner or loser, and he was already inferior to Ma Chao. Of course, it cannot be ruled out that He was young and strong, and practiced martial arts hard so that he improved year by year, but after all, heroes must be judged by success or failure in everything!

Although Lu Bu defeated the enemy by more than a hundred in the Xuzhou battle, he had an age advantage after all (Lu Bu was 39 years old, Liu Bei was 37 years old, Guan Yu was 36 years old, and Zhang Fei was 31 years old). In addition, Lu Bu was already 39 years old. Xiaopei, who had been depleted by drinking and sex, and whose martial arts had declined, and who was staying with Liu Bei, did not dare to offend Liu Bei too much. Therefore, the reason why Zhang Fei was able to survive for more than a hundred years was also because Lu Bu was merciful and merciless.

The most favorable historical case that evaluates Zhang Fei's martial arts is less than a tenth of a century and he stabbed Yuan Shu's general Ji Ling to death.

Fei was 32 or 33 years old at the time and was at the peak of his martial arts skills. You know, a year ago, Ji Ling fought Guan Yu for thirty rounds! However, Ji Ling could no longer resist the enemy at that time and said he would rest for a while before fighting again. After returning to the camp, he found a scapegoat for Guan Yu to kill, while he hid and refused to fight.

Just because of this thirty-round battle between Guan Yu and Ji Ling, I have a new understanding of Guan Yu's martial arts realm! I remember that I was only 10 years old at the time. When I saw this plot, I asked my father what was going on. My father replied: "Maybe it's because Guan Yu and Zhang Fei have different fighting methods. Fei strikes first and Yu strikes later." My father's insight reminded me of this. Got me. yes! Guan Yu's martial arts skills are as smooth and perfect as those of many heroes in martial arts novels (such as Qiao Feng, Guo Jing, etc.) who have reached the state of transformation! Everyone, please see, against Yan Liang, Wen Chou, Hua Xiong and other predators, Yu knew that he was a lifelong enemy. The energy of every muscle in his body was stimulated, and he used the exquisite skills of Spring and Autumn Sword Art to complete his victory in one battle! But I saw green light flashing, blood splattering, and heads rolling! But for a second-rate general like Ji Ling (Ji Ling's martial arts should be on the same level as Yu Jin, inferior to Li Dian and Le Jin, let alone Zhang He and Zhang Liao), he can easily fight against him, just like a cat playing with a mouse, slowly playing with you to death. ! But Zhang Fei is not like that. No matter what kind of opponent he is, he treats them equally. He opens his eyes wide and presses forward with a snake spear that is eight feet tall! If I can't defeat you, I will retreat (this situation only occurs after more than a hundred battles with Lu Bu), otherwise, hey... I'll stab you tortoise son to death! Therefore, this is also the difference between Zhang Sanye and Guan Erye's martial arts realm.

In general, Zhang Fei fought countless fierce battles in his life and was never defeated (it does not count when he met Lu Bu after being drunk in Xuzhou and fled without fighting). Ten thousand Cao soldiers entered Sichuan to relieve the enemy, and the veteran general Yan Yan captured the city like a bag. He fought with Ma Chao in Chengdu for several days and nights and hundreds of rounds without deciding the outcome. He fought in Baling while drinking and survived and defeated Cao Ying's warrior Zhang He's troops. These are all the achievements of his life. The highlight of his military exploits, he deserves to be ranked fifth.

6. Yan Liang

Yan Liang has the body of a tiger and a leopard. Baimapo retreats Cao alone, and defeats Xu Huang in twenty (Xu Huang fought against Xu Chu when he played against Cao Ying a few years ago) Fifty combined, regardless of victory or defeat), he is truly a heavenly being! Although he was killed by Guan Yu, he was still a top-notch master, so ranking sixth is fair.

7. Dian Wei

Dian Wei was undefeated in his life. He was the first brave general in Cao Cao's early period. He was the savior in the fire of Puyang and died in Wancheng. He was also defeated by Shuangji. Thief, drunkenly, with no armor on his body, he still held two enemy corpses in his hands to protect his master and broke through, killing dozens of people and died from random arrows, what a true man of God! Unfortunately, he died young and could only be ranked seventh.

8. Huang Zhong

Huang Zhong is overestimated by the previous theory again, because of the veteran’s magic arrow! What I want to remind you here is: the first-rate famous generals in the Three Kingdoms period were all excellent in concealed weapons and each had a unique skill, such as the archery skills of Lu Bu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Wen Chou, Zhang Liao, Tai Shi Ci, Ma Chao, Wang Shuang's meteor hammer, Dian Wei's short halberd, etc., all of them are useless! Why is Huang Hansheng's magic arrow emphasized in "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms"? It was all because I admired the old general, who was over sixty years old, that he could still have eyes as bright as a torch and walk through the trees with a hundred steps, so he mentioned it again and again.

Huang Zhong fought fiercely with Guan Yu in Changsha. At that time, Zhong was nearly sixty years old and Yu was nearly fifty. Zhong became stronger with age, just like Lian Po was reincarnated, and he did not suffer too much physically. Big loss. After more than a hundred fierce battles between the two sides, the outcome was indecisive. When Yu was about to use the knife trick, Zhong's horse stumbled. Yu couldn't bear to kill him, so he asked Zhong to change his horse and fight again. From the perspective of an expert, Zhong was already at a disadvantage. Not to mention that Yu is traveling a long distance, so it is better for Zhongzhi to recharge his batteries and wait for work!

Zhong later made many military exploits, killing all second- and third-rate generals. Only at Dingjun Mountain, when Cao Ying’s general Xia Houyuan was caught off guard, he slashed him with all his strength, which was his true pinnacle!

Liu Bei conquered Wu and Zhong participated in the battle at the age of seventy-five. He was still invincible and worthy of being one of the Five Tiger Generals of Shu Camp! Unfortunately, he died soon after being wounded by a hidden arrow.

Zhong ranked eighth, which should be fair.

9. Xu Chu

Hu Chi can surpass Wen Chou and rank ninth, mainly because he has never been defeated in battle. Although the war horse Chao was at a disadvantage, he was still very powerful, and basically evenly matched; in the fight with Zhao Yun, even though it was only thirty rounds, it can be seen that he has met his opponent.

In fact, Xu Chu's strength has always been super strong, but because his potential and self-confidence were not really stimulated before the war horse surpassed him, he was inferior to the previous generals in terms of momentum.

In the first battle with Xu Huang, he was still victorious after fifty rounds of fierce fighting; in the battle with Lu Bu, he was always passive and was beaten; when Yan Liang and Wen Chou were showing off their power at Baimapo, what was he doing? When Yan man Zhang Yide drove away millions of Cao Cao's soldiers, why didn't he stand up and fight against the powerful enemy alone with his strength? In these aspects, he is indeed far behind Lu, Guan, Ma, Zhao and Zhang in front of him! In the end, he ranked ninth, which is not an underestimation of him.

10. Wen Chou

Wen Chou is similar to Yan Liang. Although he has peerless martial arts, he was killed in battle and could only be ranked tenth.

11. Pound

Pound has always been drawn as a bearded man in the comic strips, making him look quite young, while Ma Chao has always been drawn as a handsome young man, who seems to be older than Pound. Still young. In fact, Ma Chao was already thirty-six years old when he launched an army to avenge his father, while Pang De was less than thirty years old at that time. Although he is young, Pang De has always been resourceful and brave. Many of Ma Chao's battle plans were designed and implemented by Pang De, which shows his talent.

Pang De's martial arts skills are actually not inferior to Ma Chao, but because he was born as a partial general, neither with Ma Chao nor later with Zhang Lu, he was never allowed to serve as a sole general. Fortunately, he later met To Cao Cao, the wise lord of the world. Anyone who has read "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" knows that many generals are always not reused when they are subordinates of others, or even framed, but in the hands of Cao Cao, they can use all their talents. Cao Cheng's ability to recognize and utilize talents is truly unparalleled in the world! At this point, Zhuge Liang, another prime minister of the Han Dynasty, was far behind! How many generals were discovered and trained by Cao Cao, such as Guan Yu (cultivating this god of war, Prime Minister Cao also toasted, gave money, appointed officials, and killed his generals, which is really indispensable), Zhang Liao (from a side general) He was trained to be a general who was responsible for defeating Sun Quan's army many times), Zhang He (trained from a general to a general who was responsible for defeating the Shu army many times, giving Zhuge Liang a headache), Xu Huang (trained from a general to be responsible for his own affairs, and finally joined forces with Lu Meng The general who captured Guan Yu), Pang De, etc.

When Guan Yu, King of Jingzhou, attacked Fancheng, Cao Ren asked Xuchang for help. Cao Cao sent Yu Jin as the main general and Pang De as the vanguard, leading seven armies to retreat from the enemy. This was Pound's true peak moment! Pang De, who was in his thirties, drew with Guan Yu, who was 58 years old, in more than 100 rounds. Although he took advantage of his youth, his opponent was the God of War who killed Yan Liang and punished Wen Chou after all! At that time, both sides had withdrawn their troops. If the fight continued, Pound might be able to create a miracle! After Guan Yu returned to camp, he couldn't help but admire Pound as a powerful enemy! What a terrible future!

Later, Guan Yu flooded seven armies, and Pang De was captured by Zhou Cang. Yu Jin was greedy for life and feared death and surrendered. Pang De would rather die than surrender and was killed. He was right to do this, otherwise not only would his whole life be ruined, but even if Cao Cao showed mercy, his family in Xuchang would not have an easy life in the future.

Forty-four years later, Wei general Deng Ai took a strange risk and entered Shu via a cliff path, and Shu was destroyed. After that, Pang De's son Pang Hui led troops to Chengdu to take over and wiped out the Guan Yu clan. The poor family was killed cleanly. It was really bloody! And the origin of Dadao Guan Sheng, the fifth-ranked hero in Liangshan in "Water Margin" (who is said to be a descendant of Guan Yu) is also very suspicious!

12. Zhang He

Zhang He is the kind of person who is not very talented but is constantly striving for self-improvement. After decades of hard training, he finally becomes the best player in the world. Zhang He made his debut very early. Together with Yan Liang, Wen Chou and Gao Lan, he is known as the Four Generals of Hebei. He ranks third. It is said that, working with top-notch masters like Yan Liang and Wen Chou, hearing and seeing, he should have had a glimpse of the highest realm of martial arts very early, but for some reason, he and Gao Lan always had a relationship with Yan Liang and Wen Chou. A long distance away, it can be seen that his talent is not particularly good, but his advantage is that he has no bad habits, practices martial arts diligently, and has a good physique, which is very similar to Huang Zhong.

God rewards hard work. After decades of hard training, coupled with the aging and death of many top-notch generals, in the post-Three Kingdoms period after the Battle of Shuwu Yiling, especially after the death and decline of Ma Chao, Zhao Yun, etc., Zhang He He was finally invincible and defeated the Shu army many times. Only Wei Yan in the Shu camp could resist the enemy (but was still at a disadvantage), which became a worry for Zhuge Liang. In 231 AD, Zhuge Liang finally succeeded in luring Zhang He into the valley and killed him with random arrows from "thousands of crossbows". This was also a major thing Zhuge Liang did for the Shu Han before his death.

Although Xiahou Dun, Xia Houyuan, Xu Huang, etc., who had a high participation rate in the first three countries, were not inferior to Zhang He in martial arts at that time, under Zhang He's diligent study and hard training, these people (their age They are also older, especially Xiahou Dun, who is actually older than Liu Bei and about the same age as Cao Cao.) They were later surpassed by Zhang He. It should be more objective and reasonable to rank Zhang He before them.

After the 12th place, it doesn’t matter if you don’t rank them, they must be listed. Xiahou Dun, Xu Huang, Wei Yan, Jiang Wei, Guan Ping, Wang Shuang, Xu Zhi, Xia Houyuan, etc. are all acceptable.

After writing this, netizens who are familiar with "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" will definitely ask: Why is there not a single Jiangdong character in your ranking? Also, in the post-Three Kingdoms period, there was a young hero named Wen Yang who defeated hundreds of generals on his own. Why can't he enter your ranking? I will talk about them specifically below.

There are many generals in Jiangdong, but please forgive me for being disrespectful (I am also from the south of Jiangsu and Zhejiang), Sun Ce, Taishi Ci, Cheng Pu, Huang Gai, Han Dang, Zhou Tai, Jiang Qin, Xu Sheng , Gan Ning, Ling Tong, Pan Zhang, Dong Xi, etc. are brave, but objectively speaking, even the strongest in my mind, Cheng Pu, Tai Shi Ci, etc. are not as good as Zhang He, Xu Huang and other Central Plains generals, let alone The other top ten are truly top-notch generals.

Southerners (Sun Jian is from Fuyang, Hangzhou) have always been elegant and well-proportioned, much taller and more naturally powerful than the big men from the Central Plains in the north. Of course, there are also very few, such as Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, but these are rare after all. The Sun family has fought many victorious battles since they raised their troops, either through internal wars in Jiangdong such as crossing the river to attack Liu Biao, or Sun Ce's war to unify Jiangdong, etc. Or they may have used cunning tactics to win, such as burning Cao Cao's army at Chibi, and then burning Liu Bei's army and Yiling. , Lu Xun defeated Cao Xiu and others. In real one-on-one military battles with northern generals, there is rarely a decent victory.

There are obvious differences between the northern and southern races of our country, especially during the Three Kingdoms period 1800 years ago. At that time, transportation was far less accessible than it is now, and the ethnic groups had not yet undergone great migration and integration. At the same time, genetics , diet and living habits have all affected the increasing body shape gap between northern and southern ethnic groups. War before 1800 was based on physical strength. In battles on the battlefield, those who were taller and stronger had an advantage. Unlike modern and modern wars, which were supplemented by firearms, warships, tanks and missiles. In wars since modern times, the differences between the north and the south have basically disappeared, which is why the army led by Li Zongren became the first Guangxi army to capture Beijing. In the Three Kingdoms period before 1800, the northern Han Dynasty, who were tall and powerful, took advantage of each other on the battlefield. Before Guan Yu warmed the wine and killed Hua Xiong, Hua Xiong was invincible. But it was Sun Jian's troops who he defeated repeatedly, killing Zu Mao and chasing Sun Jian, and for a while no one could beat him.

In the battle between Cao Cao and Sun Quan at Ruxukou, Xu Chu fought one against two, fighting Han Dang and Zhou Tai for thirty rounds with no outcome, which is also a very illustrative example. Although Han Dang and Zhou Tai's martial arts are not considered to be the best in Jiangdong, they are definitely in the first camp. The martial arts of Jiangdong's super warriors can be imagined.

Some people will say, didn’t Gan Ning defeat Cao Hong in twenty rounds? But in fact, it was Cao Ren's trick and Cao Hong faked defeat. You can know it by reading "The Romance of the Three Kingdoms" carefully. What's more, Cao Hong's martial arts has always been second-rate in Cao's camp, so this battle example is not worth mentioning.

Zhang Liao, who is not ranked among the top twenty masters in the world, is as difficult to deal with as the God of War in the minds of Jiangdong people, and he is difficult to deal with both in terms of strategy and martial arts! I would like to ask everyone, is Taishi Ci finally a top-notch general in Jiangdong? Look at the one-on-one contest between him and Zhang Liao: the two sides fought hard for eighty rounds, with no winner or loser! In fact, Zhang Liao's martial arts is not very strong, not as good as Zhang He and Xu Huang. What he is really good at is strategy (no less than Guan Yu) and archery (no less than Huang Zhong), but even Zhang Liao's martial arts has already been surpassed. On par with Kodong's top-notch warriors! The fierce general Ling Tong had been defeated after fifty rounds of fierce fighting with Zhang Liao. You must know that Liao was already in his fifties at that time, while Tong was young and strong!

Of course, although the Jiangdong generals are slightly inferior in force, every time they encounter the northern generals, they have the courage to fight to the death and fight in groups, which is also very difficult to deal with! Mr. Luo handled this point very smartly. Apart from writing about Taishi Ci's battle with Zhang Liao and Ling Tong's fierce battle with Zhang Liao and Le Jin, he basically did not write about the one-on-one battles between Jiangdong generals and other northern super generals. , saving enough face for Jiangdong people. But we can get a glimpse of it from Guan Yu's protection of Liu Bei when he went to Zhou Yu's banquet, Zhou Yu was so frightened that he was sweating profusely and his face turned ashen, and Guan Yu went to Lu Su's banquet alone.

In the late Three Kingdoms period, "there were no generals in Shu, and Liao Hua was the vanguard", which also illustrates the difference between the north and the south. When the Shu Kingdom was first established, the Five Tiger Generals were still young, and together with Wei Yan, Jiang Wei, etc., they were still enough to compete with Cao Wei in the north. As the generals gradually aged, most of the later generals had the blood of southerners. There are never any talented battlefield giants like Wang Shuang and Xu Zhi, so naturally we have to "Liao Hua be the vanguard".

The above are just some examples to explain the reasons why I did not choose Jiangdong generals (as well as Zhang Ren and other Xichuan generals) to enter the top 20 rankings. I am outspoken and I apologize to my fellow southerners if I offend.

Let’s talk about Wenyang.

Wen Yang, a young hero, defeated Cao Ying’s hundreds of generals on a single horse. Although the scene was beautiful, he was not actually a first-rate master. At most, Wen Yang was a very talented person, and he should not be as good as the powerful generals such as Wang Shuang and Xu Zhi at that time. Why? First, among the many Wei generals, I have not heard of any powerful figures, and their names are unknown from beginning to end. Second, Wang Shuang, Xu Zhi and others, after all, led a country's vanguard general Yin, went into battle to kill the enemy, and were invincible (they were later killed on the battlefield by Kong Ming and Jiang Wei respectively). And why did Wen Yang disappear after appearing this time, except for showing his face once and returning to Cao Wei? It can only show that the "hundred generals" he "whipped" are really not worth mentioning. Of course, Wen Yang is still very strong. He defeated Deng Ai in 50 rounds just after his debut. There is absolutely no doubt about his strength! However, Deng Ai, like Jiang Wei, was a commander with both civil and military skills. He usually used his brain much more than his gun. A draw with him can only show that he is very strong, but it does not necessarily mean that he will enter the top 20 rankings. Deng Ai Ai himself didn’t even get in line!

Of course, Mr. Luo's writing style in describing this section is absolutely wonderful, but Wen Yang did not have more battlefield practice, so he had to be excluded.

One final word, Zhou Yu is six years older than Kong Ming. Most netizens probably know this. However, in Peking Opera, it is still the same as before. Kong Ming was arranged to call out "Gong Jindi" when he paid homage to Zhou Yu at Chaisangkou. Don't be fooled by him!
