This is a text from the People's Education Press primary school Chinese language course for the first year, called "The Little Painter in the Snow", written by Cheng Hongming.
Original text:
It’s snowing, it’s snowing! A group of little painters came to the snow.
The chicken draws bamboo leaves, the puppy draws plum blossoms, the duck draws maple leaves, and the pony draws the crescent moon. ?
Without paint or pen, you can create a painting in just a few steps. Why didn't the frog participate? He fell asleep in the hole.
This text vividly describes the shapes of the claws (hooves) of four animals: chickens, puppies, ducks and ponies, as well as the characteristics of frogs that hibernate in winter.
