When writing a novel, do you need to think of all the chapter names, character names, and place names first?

You don’t need to name the place. Just think of the main protagonist/supporting role in the character name. It is best not to write the chapter names in advance (because you will often digress as you write), unless you have already thought about the ending of the novel.
