These are some titles of my Nadya story and the sources of these names.
Matchstick is named after Hans Christian christian anderson's poem Little Matchstick Girl, which stands out in the story.
Slide-About a paratrooper whose umbrella fell to the ground. Instead of falling to the ground, he turned himself into a crow.
Stranger in a strange land-This title borrows the words of my favorite writer Robert Heinlein and tells the story of Nadia trying to adapt to American life, which is an appropriate description of her experience.
Blue-because color is the highlight of the story.
The title of Wolf and Man draws lessons from Metallica's songs and tells the story of nadia coming out to her best friend as a werewolf and its influence.
In most cases, I don't think they are very clever, but in fact they don't have to be. I like titles that can at least describe myself.
However, when you think about it, the titles of most famous stories are not particularly clever. The Hobbit is about a Hobbit.
1.? I suggest starting with the article. This is the content of "meat and potatoes".
From there, you will have a better understanding of the tone after writing the article. Many times when I start writing an article, I will think of an idea. Until I finished writing this article, it became a completely different topic, and I completely felt it.
2. Write down the three title concepts that come to mind automatically. Don't think too much. I call it "analytical paralysis". The more you think about it, the harder it is to come up with a title idea.
3. Choose the best title and publish it! Let the market decide whether it is a great title and more articles. From there, you can improve your craft according to the feedback/participation of the article.
