Coronavirus belongs to Coronaviridae (Nested Virus) and Coronavirus (Coronaviridae). Coronavirus is an RNA virus with an envelope and a linear single-stranded positive genome, which is a large class of viruses widely existing in nature.
Coronavirus is about 80 ~ 120 nm in diameter, with methylated cap structure at 5' end and poly(A) tail at 3' end. The total length of the genome is about 27-32kb, which is the largest RNA virus known. Coronavirus only infects vertebrates such as humans, mice, pigs, cats, dogs, wolves, chickens, cows and poultry.
1937 coronavirus was isolated from chicken for the first time. The virus particles are spherical or oval with a diameter of 000nm and an average diameter of 65438±000nm. The virus has an envelope, and there are spinous processes on the envelope. The whole virus is like a crown, and the spinous processes of different coronaviruses are obviously different. Tubular inclusions can sometimes be seen in cells infected by coronavirus.
20 19 novel coronavirus (20 19-nCoV, novel coronavirus coronavirus pneumonia-19) is the seventh coronavirus known to infect humans, and the other six are HCoV-229E, HCoV-OC43, HCoV-NL63 and hcov-hku/kl.
