"Shuke and Beta" is an animated work adapted from the novel by the fairy tale king Zheng Yuanjie and produced by Shanghai Animation Film Studio in 1989.
Plot summary: The little mouse Shuke was born in a notorious mouse family and was destined to be a thief from birth. Shuke was unwilling to be a thief, so he decided to leave home, drive a helicopter to go outside, and use his labor in exchange for food.
Beta is also a mouse. From the day he was born, a terrifying shadow has been following him. That shadow is the little cat Li. Beta didn't want to starve to death, he had to find a way to survive. Later, Beta became a tank soldier and defeated Mili. He is determined to find a life of his own, to a place where there are no cats.
By chance, Shuke met Beta. The two little mice didn't know each other until they fought, and soon became good friends. They met another little boy named Pipilu. With Pipilu's help, Shuke and Beta founded Shuke and Beta Airlines to serve more small animals. The operation of the airline was not smooth sailing. Pirates always came to cause trouble for them again and again. The witty and brave Shuke and Beta finally defeated the pirates, allowing the little animals to live a happy and peaceful life.
