Wild geese in South Lake: South of Chengguan, Tongling County, there is a lake called South Lake. Every autumn, flocks of wild geese fly from the north to the south and stop to eat when passing through South Lake. Therefore, it is called "Wild geese in South Lake".
Phoenix xiao yue: There is a stone on the Phoenix Mountain in the southeast suburb of Tongling City. It is said that in ancient times, when the moon just rose, groups of phoenixes stood and danced on this stone, leaving this stone called the Phoenix Stone. Although this is a wonderful legend, the ancients gave it an elegant name, called "Phoenix xiao yue".
New Temple Morning Bell: There is a village called "New Temple Village" on the road to Lion Mountain in Tongling City. It is said that there was once a Buddhist temple here, and every time at dawn, the monks in the temple hit the bronze bell. The ringing and loud bell can spread all over Tongling, giving people the feeling of peace and prosperity. Therefore, people named him "New Temple Morning Bell".
Return to Sail at Henggang: Every time the sun sets, ships with white sails come back from a distance. Standing on the Henggang pier in Tongling River section, people can enjoy the magnificent sight of sailing back. From then on, it has become a scenic spot, named "Return to Sail at Henggang".
Jinniu Guanshu: On the Phoenix Mountain in the suburb of Tongling, there are two lianshu trees, named. Legend is the embodiment of the Cowherd and the Weaver Girl. In the nearby Jinniu Cave, there is a golden bull, which is said to be a god cow who takes the Cowherd to heaven. It looks at the "acacia tree" every day, hoping that all lovers in the world will finally get married. After a long time, this scenery will have a beautiful and moving name: "Jinniu Guanshu".
White Crane Wangjiang: On the road leading to the Yangtze River Bridge in Tongling, there used to be a pine forest, where many cranes lived for many years. They lived happily and peacefully. Later, people cut down trees indiscriminately, forcing white cranes to leave their homes and fly to another pine forest on the other side of the Yangtze River. But they couldn't fly across the Yangtze River so wide, so they had to stop when they were near it, and looked at the Yangtze River every day, hoping to fly over the Yangtze River one day. People wanted to warn those who cut down trees indiscriminately.
Xi Jiang Xi Zhao: Tongling City is located where the Yangtze River turns north, and Tongling people call it Xi Jiang. Whenever the sun goes down, the afterglow falls on the river, giving people the feeling that "a setting sun is spreading in the water, and half the river is rustling and half the river is red". Therefore, people gave it a beautiful name "Xi Jiang Xi Zhao".
