In the history of Chinese dance, what is the noun explanation of Mingjun dance?

There is a very famous dance in the Jin Dynasty, which tells the story of Wang Zhaojun in the Han Dynasty, but it is called "Mingjun Dance". It turned out that Shi Chong, a wealthy man at that time, used three husks of pearls (one huzhu was equivalent to ten buckets later) of pearls to buy a beautiful girl who was good at singing and dancing as his concubine, and named her Lvzhu. Luzhu was beautiful and radiant. Shi Chong wrote a poem praising Zhaojun's story and asked Luzhu to compose a song and dance to perform. In order to avoid the taboo of Ma Zhao's name in the Jin company, the song and dance had to be called "Mingjun Dance" 》.

This "Mingjun Dance" from the Jin Dynasty actually shows the story of Han Zhaojun's departure from the fortress. According to historical records, during the reign of Emperor Yuan of the Han Dynasty, the Xiongnu Chanyu came to the Han Dynasty to get married and have a good marriage, and the Emperor Yuan gave him Queen Qiang (Zhaojun). Before saying goodbye, I discovered that Zhaojun was extremely beautiful and was actually the leading beauty in the harem, but it was too late to regret. "Dance of the Mingjun" may be based on the meaning of the lyrics expressed in the first person by Shi Chongna, "I am a son of the Han Dynasty, and I will be able to live alone in the court", "Sad and sad, my tears are stained with red tassels" and other designs, A solo song and dance that expresses Zhaojun's sadness when he leaves his hometown. Although there is no more specific record of this dance in the history books, it can be imagined based on the lyrics that it may include some passages such as Ci Han, Crossing the saddle, Looking home, Running into the clouds, Entering the forest, etc. In addition, it is beautiful, good at dancing, and can play the flute. The green beads must be very moving when performed.

In the Jin Dynasty, there was a cruel bureaucrat named Shi Chong. His family had thousands of kabuki performers. His wealth was unmatched by anyone at the time. Once, he used three husks of pearls (five dou per hu) to buy the famous Maiko green pearl. As if he had found a treasure, he regarded it as his favorite concubine.

Lvzhu’s surname is Chen. She is very gorgeous and dazzling, so she got such a beautiful name. She can play the flute and is good at singing and dancing, especially the "Mingjun Dance". "Mingjun Dance" is the most famous dance in the Jin Dynasty, and its content tells the story of "Zhaojun's departure from the fortress". It eulogized Wang Zhaojun's deeds of voluntarily marrying the Huns and strengthening ethnic friendship and unity.

"Mingjun Dance" and its music combine the styles of music and dance from the desert beyond the Great Wall and the Western Regions. It is a combination of the folk dances of the Western Regions and the traditional dances of the Central Plains.

Lvzhu used her graceful dancing and moving singing voice to make Wang Zhaojun’s performance come to life. Her appearance and outstanding acting skills in "Dance of the Ming Jun" shocked the capital.

Sima Lun, the powerful king of Zhao at that time, had conflicts with Shi Chong and wanted to get his property and green beads, so he sent an envoy to ask Shi Chong for the green beads. Of course Shi Chong refused to give it to him. He only ordered hundreds of maids to dress up, put on beautiful clothes, smell incense, and let the envoy choose as he pleased. The envoy who came said: "These people are beautiful, but the order I got is to ask for green beads. I don't know which one is the green beads?" Shi Chong said angrily: "The green beads are my favorite, I can't give them to you!" So Sima Lun arrested Shi Chong for corruption and deceiving the emperor, and executed his entire family. When Shi Chong was raped, he said to Lu Zhu, "I was convicted because of you." Lu Zhu said, "I am willing to die for you." So she fell down the building and committed suicide.

When Shi Chong was taken to the execution ground, he lamented that he was killed because others were greedy for his property. It can be seen that Shi Chong knew very well that the real cause of the struggle was not Lvzhu. In the past, people often praised Luzhu for jumping off the building, saying that she was brave and moral. In fact, Luzhu was regarded as Shi Chong's plaything during her lifetime, and eventually became a victim of competition within the ruling class of the Jin Dynasty.

Although Luzhu died tragically, her "Mingjun Dance" remained popular. Until three or four hundred years later, "Mingjun Dance" was still preserved in the Qing Shang music of the Tang Dynasty.
