Gansu dialect is a very general concept. Gansu has a vast territory and a long longitude span, forming many branches of dialects. Moreover, Gansu dialects are divided into Lanyin Mandarin and Zhongyuan Mandarin. In addition, Lanyin Mandarin can be divided into Jincheng dialect and Hexi dialect in Gansu. Jincheng Pictures includes Lanzhou City and its jurisdiction. Hexi region includes 14 region in Hexi region of Gansu province, while the tone of Dunhuang "Hexi dialect" is the same as the upper tone, with only three tones: flat tone, upper tone and falling tone.
