Beijing Luxun former residence entrance
1923 12. Lu Xun bought the yard at No.2/kloc-0 in Sanchanmen. Because the house was dilapidated, he designed his own drawings and redecorated it. He looked for a contractor and bought materials until he meticulously matched the glass and paintings. The courtyard renovation will be completed in mid-May of the following year. 1May 1924 to1August 1926, Lu Xun moved here with his mother and his original wife Zhu An. This is Mr. Wang's last residence in Beijing, where he spent an extraordinary period.
Since then,1May 929 and 19321October, he has returned to Beijing from Shanghai twice to visit his mother and stayed here. Mr. Lu Xun's days in this small courtyard were his busiest and most creative period in Beijing. At that time, Lu Xun used a pen as a dagger to write articles to crack down on evil forces and protect students persecuted by the Beiyang warlord government.
Nanwu's small guest room has become a refuge for young students. It was also at this time that Lu Xun and his student Xu Guangping went from acquaintance to love. It can be said that this quadrangle is not only the best preserved former residence of Lu Xun, but also the best embodiment of Lu Xun's character and life details.

The south room in the yard is mainly used for meeting guests and collecting books. Lu Xun has his own unique way of collecting books: he likes to put books in a special wooden box in Shaoxing. These boxes are stacked together to form a bookcase with numbered books written by Lu Xun; You can pick it up when you want to move. It's very light. There are three rooms in the North House. Mother Lu Rui lives in the east, and his ex-wife Juan lives in the west. The central hall is where the family eats.
What best embodies Mr. Wang's unique idea is "Tiger Tail", a small room protruding from the center of the hall, with a small tail at the back, nicknamed "Tiger Tail". This is his own carefully designed studio and bedroom. The room is separated from the main room and can be divided and combined. He made full use of the method of borrowing scenery, opened a large glass window on the north wall and made the scenery of the backyard one by one. This design is not only for economy, but also for lighting.
