The first sentence of learning to be a real person is to learn a lot.
Two thousand years ago, Kong Zhongni, two thousand years later, Tao Xingzhi, Tao Xingzhi is our role model as a teacher. Song Qingling called him a "teacher for all generations", Dong Biwu regarded him as a "sage", Our great man praised him as a "great people's educator".
He "comes with a heart in his hands and leaves without a blade of grass". He unites knowledge and action. "Action is the beginning of knowledge, and knowledge is the completion of action." People seek truth; learn thousands of things and learn to be a true person."
Teaching people to seek truth and "learn to be a real person" is the essence of Tao Xingzhi's thought. He first wrote in his congratulatory message to the "10th Anniversary of the Resumption of Baihou Middle School" in September 1943, " Thousands of teachings, thousands of teachings, teach people to seek truth; thousands of learnings, thousands of learnings, learn to be true people."
The true meaning of education is to teach people to seek truth and be pragmatic:
Copernicus said: "Man's bounden duty lies in the courage to explore the truth." Tao Xingzhi also believed so, so he It is said that "Thousands of teachings teach people to seek truth."
I would rather be a real white man than a fake scholar. He educates students to love the truth, pursue the truth, and be ready to sacrifice for the truth at any time.
In his view, truth is cognition that is consistent with objective facts, which he calls "true knowledge." He said: "True knowledge is the knowledge produced by the combination of thought and behavior" and is "the true knowledge that sprouts, grows leaves and bears fruit from experience."
Because "practice brings true knowledge" and "action is the beginning of knowledge", he changed his name from "Tao Zhixing" at the beginning to "Tao Xingzhi" later.
In order to encourage students to pay attention to practice and oppose rote memorization, he vigorously promoted students to apply the knowledge they learned into practice. They not only operated experiments and participated in production labor, but also actively participated in the social movements of the time.
Tao Xingzhi once wrote a "Song of Self-Reliance": "He who sheds his own sweat, eats his own food, does his own things, relies on people, heaven and ancestors is not considered a hero."
With this loud singing, the teachers and students of Xiaozhuang built libraries, auditoriums, classrooms, etc. by themselves, and took turns taking on various chores in the school.
Even the cooking and cooking are done by them themselves. They truly live a life of doing things and enjoying themselves, not only appreciating the hardship of labor, but also tasting the joy of creation.
Tao Xingzhi himself also set an example and actively participated in the national salvation movement. Moreover, he advocated "live until you are old, do it until you are old, and learn until you are old", and "you don't graduate until you are in the coffin."
