The six-eared macaque was created by Tathagata Buddha. You must know that Sun Wukong’s master is Patriarch Bodhi, and Patriarch Bodhi and Tathagata Buddha are brothers. However, the relationship between Patriarch Bodhi and Tathagata Buddha was not good, and the two had enmity. The Western Heaven was created by Patriarch Bodhi and Buddha Tathagata. Later, Buddha Tathagata built a six-foot golden body and annexed Western Heaven and drove away Patriarch Bodhi. However, Sun Wukong is a disciple of Patriarch Bodhi. Tathagata Buddha certainly does not want Sun Wukong to practice and become a Buddha.
Moreover, Sun Wukong is stubborn and causes trouble all day long. Tathagata Buddha wanted to find an obedient person pretending to be Sun Wukong to replace Sun Wukong. The two "Monkey King" found many people to identify themselves, but either they couldn't tell the difference or they didn't dare to tell. So, Chang had no choice but to find Tathagata. This fell into Tathagata's trap. With the help of Tathagata, the six-eared macaque killed the real Sun Wukong, and then took Sun Wukong's place to accompany Tang Monk to learn the scriptures.
The question is, why would Tathagata do this? Because, more than 500 years ago, a colorful stone left by the ancient goddess Nuwa to mend the sky channeled spirits, and a stone monkey jumped out of it. The Stone Monkey was born with intelligence, and studied with his teachers everywhere. Finally, he learned all the skills, occupied the Huaguo Mountain, and made himself king. He also took advantage of the Queen Mother's birthday banquet to cause a great disturbance in the sky. The Jade Emperor was furious and sent out heavenly soldiers and generals to capture him. However, they all failed and returned, so they had to go to the West to invite Tathagata. The Tathagata's action was of course effective. He pressed the stone monkey under the Five Fingers Mountain with one palm. This pressure lasted for 500 years!
I thought that after 500 years of suppression, this stone monkey could be used by myself, so I set a rule that Buddhist disciples must practice the unraveling spell on the mountain within 500 years before he can be released. Sure enough, the previous moments were all as expected. Tang Monk came as scheduled, liberated the stone monkey who had been suppressed for five hundred years, and named him Sun Wukong! But what happened later did not go as Tathagata expected. Sun Wukong's character was almost the same as that of Five Hundred Years. He was unruly and unruly again and again, which made Tathagata lose patience with him. He decided to find another person to replace him. This is The six-eared macaque was born! But he didn't expect that besides him, there was someone in the Three Realms who could know the difference between the real and fake Monkey King, so in the end he had to clean up the mess by himself and let Sun Wukong kill the six-eared macaque, and it was over!
