Song Dynasty, Zhao Pu.
The allusion of "half of the Analects rules the world" first came from after the death of Zhu Xi (1130-1200) in the Southern Song Dynasty. First, it was a man named Lin Jun (dòng) (the exact date of birth and death is unknown) It is recorded in "Confucian Officials" in Volume 8 of the first volume of "Ancient and Modern Origins" written by "Zhao Pu": "Zhao Pu is an honorable minister of his generation. He conquered the east and west, and all failed. He pursued what he learned and had no further career outside of the Analects of Confucius. "The books Zhao Pu studied were nothing but The Analects of Confucius. Under this passage, there is a small note that reads: "Zhao Pu said: "The Analects" has twenty chapters, and I use half of them to help Taizu rule the world."
