The "Dragon Head Centipede" kite is the representative work of kites in Weifang, Shandong. It is more than 100 feet long and consists of three parts: the dragon's head, trunk (dozens of sections) and dragon tail. Each part can be relatively independent and yet connected as a whole. When released, the tail is lifted first, then the trunk. Finally, the lifting force generated by dozens of three-dimensional parts slowly pulls up the head, which weighs several kilograms, and the entire centipede takes off and reaches the sky. After entering the sky, it looks like a giant python riding the wind in the sky. It is extremely powerful and spectacular. Another miniature dragon-headed centipede kite, only the size of a red date, can fit into a matchbox.
