(Contained) How to name a paper

There are actually many requirements for naming a paper, and I will only talk about a few here. Many people like to put tails such as "investigation and research on..." and "experimental research on..." when writing the name of the paper. It is said that it is easier to read when written like this, and the paper contains the word "research". It seems to be more awe-inspiring, but I don't agree with this approach. There are many reasons, but I will only mention one. I have read many foreign doctoral and master's theses, and also read many authoritative foreign professional journals, but few. When you see research titled "Research

on...", even according to international practice, the tail "Research on..." is superfluous.

I am used to seeing some foreign research, and I prefer questions like "?:". There is an easy-to-understand title in front of it that is in line with reality, and after the colon is a more serious introduction to the research content. . This type of topic seems to be more common in foreign research. In the domestic psychology circle, Mr. Yang Zhiliang once wrote an article in "Acta Psychologica Sinica" with the title "Reinforced Concrete" in the front and professional implicit recognition in the back. The content of the research is impressive. Putting common names such as "reinforced concrete" on serious professional research, the popular name implies a deep understanding of the research content. However, there are not many such names in professional journals and magazines. It seems that the Chinese people think that professional research is a matter for a few people. Let more people understand that your research is not a sign of level.

I once helped a Ph.D. name her thesis, which was about marriage commitment. My suggestion was: "Promise Me a Future—A Psychological Study of Marital Commitment." The first part uses the famous line from Xu Zhimo and Lu Xiaoman, "Promise me a future", and the second part points out the content and direction of the research. I think it is both poetic and picturesque, and shows a professional research direction, so it is a good name. Unfortunately, it was not my paper and it was not accepted in the end, which is a pity.
